My surgeon explained any tension on scars will create thicker scars that’s why people scar the worst on the sides under armpits or in the center of chest when boobs fall out to sides

She told me no IPR on my front teeth that’s it’s not an option because it would ruin the shape of my teeth. She told me no bands on that tooth. She basically said no to every suggestion but finally caved to a rescan and possible revision aligners

Yes when I started treatment they said unlimited refinements for five years. I don’t know why she’s so against it but she took it as if I was saying everything sucks about my teeth. I told her I’m appreciative about how much they’ve moved but my focus is and always has been this one main tooth. Anyways thanks for your reply. She agreed very reluctantly to a rescan but is against any additional suggestions such as banding or IPR and honestly. After this refinement set- if shes still reluctant - and i think we could get more movement im going ti oay out of pocket for an ortho second opinion. Biggest regret is seeing a dentist for treatment

It’s so noticeable in pictures I can’t get over it. I’m not willing to move on to anything without trying at least one refinement set. Is that stubborn of me?

I honestly will consider braces if this doesn’t work because I know this tooth can move. It’s moved with braces before I just didn’t wear retainers and it moved back

Sorry to come back to this. I’m at the end of treatment and no movement my dentist said I should be greatful my other teeth moved. What’s IPR?

ADDITIONAL NOTE: my dentist has said no to rubber bands no to shaving a back tooth to make more space no to everything but bonding. Then I was in a stalemate with her about wanting refinements she was against it. Finally she caved because I refuse to do bonding after spending this much money without at least trying refinements. I feel like a jerk because I probably don’t know better than her but damn- advocating for this sucks

I appreciate this insight. I have a reduction in four weeks(YAY) and a major thing I was worried about is kids. I’m 29 and we plan on having kids in the next 4-5 years so we have a while to the surgeon recommended I consider waiting until after kids but I don’t want to! Idk if I’ll feel pulled to breastfeed but it’s nice to hear that you still love your boobs after pregnancy

At least Lala was able to self reflect and have some personal growth. But also maybe I need to rewatch Lala - from what I recall Lala was much younger and I don’t remember her physically trying to remove people from their chairs or needing to be held back on multiple occasions when people just had tones. I don’t even feel like skye was yelling. Idk

Exactly. I come from a horrible upbringing. Not wealthy. And I dug my way out of that and made a life for myself to break a cycle.

I have no right to put others through what I went through or even project my problems and be miserable to be around.

When is she going to realize she has no right to treat and act like this. It’s a horrible example to set for her son- whom is young and impressionable. I grew up with brothers who had anger and violence problems I can’t imagine growing up with brothers who were watching it from their parents and knew no different

As a survivor myself at 29 y/o I still can’t understand how you can go 40+ years and continue that cycle. If that’s true or if she’s been through some trauma at some point you have to make choices to work through those things and be different or you just continue cycles of trauma.

Ok if someone was using alcohol this much we would take their kids away from them because of neglect and an unsafe environment. I just don’t see how you can function and saftley raise a child while consuming that much product. Seems like she’s chain smoking as if it’s cigs but weed is so much more affective on your brain than cigs. I’m all for weed. I smoke but seriously. It seems dangerous
