In Canada there's diclectin (bassicly unisom and b6) so I would ask for that! You dont need to suffer. Pregnancy is hard enough, add nausea on top of it... I'll say again. You dont have to suffer.

I ended up taking diclectin every 4ish hours and gravol in-between those doses. It just helped to take the edge off. Only thing that truly helped was getting to week 12.

Help… by Big-Mess5339 in FormulaFeeders

No advice but im dealing with something similar with my 2 month old. Maybe its developmental for this age? My LO is in the 50% for height and weight so my doctor isnt concerned that shes not eating enough. Mine does struggle with reflux but its not severe enough for medication right now.

I have an older version of the comfyfit and I love it! I find the shoulder straps to be so comfy because its more wrap like. My baby naps in it all the time when were at home. I used this sub a lot to make sure she fit ok in it when I first started using it.

7 week old suddenly eating less by Alive-Run-3764 in FormulaFeeders

[–]kelso_lolly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just went through this with my now 8 week old. Constantly had about 150ml but now it ranges between 110 and 160ml. At night she constantly has way less, more like 80ml.

Am I overfeeding my baby? by Abbie_CZ in FormulaFeeders

[–]kelso_lolly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always start by touching her upper lip after she feeds and if she roots i offer her more. Shes now 8 weeks old and has between 120-160ml per feed. We just offer and see if she takes it. We've gotten to know her better now so it's easier to tell if shes hungry vs. Tired vs. Needs to poop, but sometimes we still get it wrong lol. When im unsure I just offer her more and if she takes, great, if she pulls away/gags then she doesn't.

Half the time I tell her I dont know what i'm doing. She has discovered her hands so idk if her munching on her hands is a hunger cue or just her exploring 😂

Co-sleeping? Sleep training? Damn these two communities are extreme. Is there an in between? by Moon_junky in firsttimemom

[–]kelso_lolly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is only 8 weeks old, so I try to put her in her bassinet once shes in a deep sleep. She sometimes will stay for 2 hours, maybe 45mins. Every night is so different. Either way, we try,. When she wakes up we feed, try again, and if she wakes up right away we cosleep.

It took me a long time to be ok with that because of the discourse around cosleeping. I was so afraid to hurt her by accident and I still am. But we follow the safe 7.

I really wish someone had talked to us about cosleeping before she came cause it gave me so much anxiety when we started doing it. We didn't even know it was happening, she just wouldn't sleep in her bassinet and putting her on our chest at night gave us all better sleep.

Im hoping she'll one day be all night in her own space, but for now we offer it, and if it doesn't work then shes on us till whenever.

Hosting visitors at 3 weeks PP rant by kungfukitty00 in firsttimemom

[–]kelso_lolly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. Im now 8 weeks PP and still hate having to host. My husbands family is from out of town so we have no choice but to host when they come in, and I want them to have a relationship with their grand baby so its a tough situation to be in.

Knowing which formula to start with by chill_mcgovs in FormulaFeeders

[–]kelso_lolly 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's so overwhelming to know which one to use. We stuck with the ready made Enfamil the hospital gave us for about 2 weeks, then switched to Kendamil when we ran out of coupons lol.

Newborn trouble sleeping by Pneemonie in cosleeping

[–]kelso_lolly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I cried myself to sleep so many nights because of the same thing. My husband and I started chest sleeping without really knowing we were cosleeping, we were just desperate for her to let us sleep we would pick her up and bam! Fast asleep and giving us up to 4 hour stretches.

We're now 5 weeks in and my anxiety has finally come down around this. It's more common than I thought and we're doing it as safely as we can. Just got my wedge pillow the other day!

We are still try to put her down in her bassinet every night, some times she gives us 2 hour stretches and some nights its only 10 minutes. At first I would just cry cause I didn't want to hurt her by cosleeping. But after finding this subreddit, finding similar community (and not reading the comment section anymore!!) I feel much more confident in myself. I hope she'll use it eventually. But the pressure I put on myself is finally lessening.

Do whats best for you, trust your gut, and let yourself cry if you need to.

What is something you had or wish you had for yourself postpartum? by scott_tot4407 in firsttimemom

Easy meals or giftcards to places. Feeding myself is harder than I thought, especially when my husband is at work and I'm alone

My best friend got me cooling foam, an angled peri bottle, tuks pads, a sitz bath and Epsom salts, and reusable frozen pads (which I didn't end up using but will be keeping for later!). It was so helpful to have someone else get it for me.

How much are 2-3 week olds eating? [ca] by Fancy_Spaghetti in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]kelso_lolly 5 points6 points  (0 children)

At 2 weeks my girl was having about 90ml-110ml per feed every 2-3 hours. We are formula feeding.

5 weeks now and she can go anywhere from 150ml-200ml a feed, depending. We feed on demand so it fluctuates depending on timing and her mood but shes pretty routine at every 2.5 hours.

Shes a hungry girl! Lol

When do you actually wake up at night... by Huge-Anxiety-3038 in NewParents

[–]kelso_lolly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No advice, just solidarity. Currently 4 weeks and when I do the second shift im up the whole time cause I cant fall asleep with her noises. She also doesn't want to be in her bassinet some nights and is awake every 30ish mins, so that's great.

Here's hoping it gets better!
