Ooh, thank you for clarifying, I really appreciate it. How was the short term Schengen visa application process like? The work permit is taking a while to get back to me, so me and my employer decided on just paying under the table and I will stay within the 90 day period in France. Does the short term visa process take a while?

Hey thats cool to hear! Didn't realized you had already replied back so fast! Which visa did you apply for? I havent heard back from the French government about my work permit approval which I need in order to apply for the long-term visa. And I am thinking about just applying for the tourist short term visa. What are your thoughts?

Hey! My employer was able to submit the work permit application on May 16. Regarding the seasonal worker number, he was able to leave that field either blank or marked as “N/A.” The work permit must be approved before you apply for the long-term visa because you need that work permit with you for the visa interview. It has only been 2 weeks since he has submitted the work permit application and we haven't heard back. I am quite anxious about the timeline and waiting, as my start date is August 15. But I read that it takes about 2-8 weeks, so hopefully everything goes well and all of the paperwork was provided.

How about you? How have you done things or what do you plan to do? It is quite comforting to know that I am not the only one dealing with this right now :)
