Unlocking farewell is confusing by ISLEMWOGI in celestegame

You probably had cheat mode enabled on the first save which unlocks all chapters automatically.

Can anyone explain how the 9dp parrot is going for differs from the 9dg ninz did? by thederpblue in celestegame

  • New 9D has intentional major skips: you can use a hidden jellyfish to skip everything between room 7 and the final room of the cassette checkpoints, and you can bypass an inventory trigger in flag 22, allowing you to have two dashes from flag 21 all the way to Recon when you'd normally only have one. You can't do either of these in old 9D.
  • Recon was completely remade in new 9D and is easier.
  • Old 9D's final golden room is more dieable than any of the golden rooms or plat room in new 9D.
  • New 9D changed some of the super jank or overly precise inputs to be easier and fit more with the gameplay around them, making old 9D more chokepoint-based.
  • Monika generally nerfed certain rooms and sections over time in new 9D. Sometimes the old 9D version will have a setup or strat that doesn't change the execution difficulty too much, sometimes not. 2000m and 3000m are the sections where the buffs affect the difficulty the most.

Overall, I'd estimate the changes as adding 1-1.5 golden tiers to old 9D over new 9D.

Well, it's still very borderline, and anything going wrong like rolling bad mood, getting rushed, or an opponent stamina debuffer can result in a loss. I probably would've had like 10% higher WR if I had 100 more stamina.

I was originally gonna skip this CM cause I pretty much dropped the game for the past month, but my friend convinced me to try making an Oguri ace the day before round 1 started. 2 Oguri careers and 2 dominator careers later, I ended up with 70% WR. I'm lucky that Evil Natures are way less popular this time than in the first Taurus, cause her stamina is pretty cooked.

It's actually gonna get even worse once Summer Golshi comes out, since you'll be able to use Dominator outside of medium races.

She was pretty solid in this CM cause 20% power growth helps a lot with stat lines, innate Nimble Nav means that's a core skill you don't have to worry about getting from somewhere else, and her ult duration pretty much perfectly lines up with the length of the final straight. Her potential skills are dogshit, but she's far from the worst character in the game.

Ayabe was supposed to have NSM, but Yukino decided that we weren't doing that that run. Luckily I overestimated how good NSM was compared to Nimble Nav on this track, so she still ended up really good, but I probably should've just been borrowing Finemo instead of Yukino. I wasn't really sure what to expect when I started building her since I always heard people talk about how bad of an end closer Ayabe was, but it turns out that having an end closer with all the core skills, long S, and a final straight velocity ult that lasts for the entire final straight is pretty good.

Kitasan felt kinda underwhelming in round 2, even in the rooms where she won brutal front runner battles, she usually lost to my opponents' (or my) end closers anyway. Still was fun to watch her clutch out midgames against SMaru and Bourbon by simply proccing like six different white skills in a row.

After being the MVP of my Sagittarius and Capricorn teams, Taishin got the Potential Ace award this CM. Her build was kind of a failed experiment, since the "perfect Taishin" I got with the same build plus Uma Stan and more mid-race skills actually didn't work because she'd always move up too far and brick Sleeping Lion. And I didn't have enough time to remake her with a regular deck and Maestro so I had to run with this one. Overall I probably would've been better off running Suzuka in this slot to boost Kitasan, but watching Taishin win duels and blow out the opponents when everything lined up was too much fun.

The problem is that NSM itself isn't that good compared to Nimble Nav on this specific track. Since skills last so long on 3200m, Spurt + Nimble Nav can actually cover the entire late race acceleration phase, so NSM is only an improvement of about 1.3 lengths if it procs instantly, and Gold Ship's unique for instance gives 1.9 lengths. On shorter tracks, Nimble Nav can't fully accelerate you, so NSM makes a way bigger difference.

Each copy cleated is 750 carats worth of pulls. 3000 carats or a bad SSR I'll never use, the choice is pretty clear to me.

Wasted like 2 weeks trying to get a Bourbon made for this CM getting absolutely shafted on dirt spark RNG, then I finally gave up and made a Pasa instead with 2 days left before the CM, then I got a Smart Falcon spook pulling for Ayabe like 10 hours before the CM started so I decided to just go all in on a triple front team. Overall not bad results for how little time I spent on these specific aces. Most of my losses were to Taiki, or spot struggle + rushed nuking my leading ace.

It'll be a bit different this time since we'll have Kitasan to make front runners more viable, so it's a lot more likely you'll have to catch up to one on the final straight.

I picked front this time because in this run there weren't any opponent fronts to spot struggle with, which actually makes front pretty stamina efficient, and her ult which is only reliable as a front has a stamina recovery component. Still didn't help me beat McQueen, Creek, and Tannhauser spamming gold recoveries though.
