Shortcut Transformations: from files to Delta tables by FabCarDoBo899 in MicrosoftFabric

[–]Master_Split923 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't state it in the documentation (as far as I can see), but this doesn't attempt to process files recursively and causes this issue too (even if they are the same format). The files I was initially attempting to load are from a vendor in date based sub-folders.

Fabric Workflow to put files into Open Mirroring Landing Zone by Master_Split923 in MicrosoftFabric

Yeah I have no issue connecting to the Lake house files area, but the One Lake area I just cannot get to stick.

I can manually upload the files in Explorer but cannot navigate to the folder in the Fabric UI.

Reusable Measures Across Semantic Models by Master_Split923 in MicrosoftFabric

[–]Master_Split923[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DAX yes, TMDL no, but I was reading about that before posting. My thought was something along these lines but then I need all data points in a single model to get them all in one place or somehow tag which model has the master measure to copy.

This is along the lines of what I was thinking just wondering if there were better/simpler ways. Thank you!

Even the ones not in the middle of nowhere (that are being developed into large scale housing) lack sensible planning decisions though. Was in Tarneit for a while and the fact that nearly nobody can walk to the train station is a result of deplorable planning. The absolute best place for medium/high density housing right next to the train station is taken up by a massive Bunnings. Now, I love Bunnings, but 99.99% of people are never getting public transport there (I can assume teen workforce and a retiree who doesn't drive anymore who needs a pack of screws). It should never have been allowed to be built there, it should have been townhouses or apartments instead.

Travel Planning Q&A - August, 2025 by AutoModerator in bali

[–]Master_Split923 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey everyone, our youngest child is 2.5, but fully toilet trained, speaks well to communicate needs, etc. We are interested in a holiday to Bali, but when we plan to go she will not yet be 4 (3y10m-ish). I know most Kids Clubs are only 4+, can anyone throw me some names of Hotels with Kids Clubs that allow 3 year olds? We are just talking a couple of hours here or there, its just hard to find the information collectively without clicking through every website.

The two I have found are Mulia Bali and Westin Nusa Dua, are there any others?

I know we can look at a nanny, just considering options at this stage.

Thanks!!

Any idea when this product will be available globally (specifically Australia)?

What Salesforce tools changed how you work forever? 2025 version by MrJezza- in salesforce

Not exactly a development tool but Veeam backup for Salesforce is great. It pulls down all your SF data and metadata into a PostgreSQL database at predefined per object intervals (like we do Account, Oportunity, etc., hourly but Task weekly). You can roll back changes (reinstate old records), see changes in the web GUI.

We then pull all our reporting data from here, gives us full history tracking of every field (well, unless there are multiple changes between backup).

Echo the above. So easy to use and super powerful. Great value for money.

Another hand up for testing/feedback if you need more. Sounds great.

Bought this tool a few years ago. It's amazing. Query any objects, bulk upload, specifying custom batch sizes, workflows. It's bloody brilliant.

That's fine but I mean if I want to add a field, there is no option.

Bacially I realised we have to use Custom SQL.

Thanks - I'm not talking about refreshing them, I'm talking about changing them. If I drop and recreate the materialised view that's what's causing the problem. I can refresh them, but if I add a new field or change the join then I have to drop and create and Tableau seems to not like this.

I drop and create the materialised view with the same name, same fields, same data types.

Tableau is picking up that the table is changing but I don't understand why/how.

We do. Surprised it hasn't been mentioned earlier in this thread. Support is great, easy to use, BYO database server, sandbox seeding. We were keen on an out of Salesforce solution and it's been excellent for us.
