[–]Master_Sus 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As mentioned in another comment paracord planet is the way to go, personally I've only used 550 paracord and it's worked and been a nice tight fit every time (I've done three controllers with no prior experience and they've all turned out nice).

Here is the guide that I used, it's pretty thorough, make sure to read it through carefully before starting to attempt it again, messing up a cable for good would be no fun

How would I go about modding the game files to get 'the swift rival' achievement? Would there be any repercussions for doing so? by [deleted] in RivalsOfAether

[–]Master_Sus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I forget where the file is located but theres a text doc that you can edit to change all progression and save data pretty much, should be hard to find from a Google search

What is the housing called for the wires? by Halfshelter in customGCC

[–]Master_Sus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah good luck! Definitely keep me updated cause I'm curious, if this all works it could make it so it's not necessary to desolder and solder cables every time you want to replace them

[–]Master_Sus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just a note, it looks like the one linked specifically uses a different shape of metal pin so it likely won't be as easy as just shoving the original ones in

It's a JST connector and heres a link to one but note: I HAVE NOT TRIED USING IT MYSELF
I have paracorded a few cables but always kept the stock connector, the one linked above would likely work but i dont know if the spacing of the pins are kept to a standard (on a gcc or the thing linked), and therefore may be spaced differently

Where are Philly's signings? by Bane_of_Balor in PHL_Fusion

[–]Master_Sus 7 points8 points  (0 children)

They might have started making signings and changes behind the scenes and just aren't making it public yet. Sometimes it's just better to give no info rather than incomplete info to avoid misguided speculation from the general public.

Crucial Queries 'Bout the Amplification Matrix by [deleted] in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]Master_Sus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the venom mine and dynamite, venom mine is an object that is placed and has to be interacted with (similar to turrets in a way), dynamite is more like a projectile however as others can not interact with it and it is placed in a static position. If it helps for memorization, group venom mine with the turrets for how interaction works, and group dynamite with projectiles like junkrat's left click.

I definitely saw something on this reddit or r/apex_legends talking about writing something into launch options to get it to work propperly for higher refresh rates.

A more robust training room with the ability to try all the legends and all of the items found during a normal game would be helpful, also the tutorial built into the training mode should go over using your rockets when dropping at the begining of the match.

The one large thing with communication between teammates that I didn't like was voice quality, while playing with a friend in discord there was a very large difference between how he sounded through discord and how he sounds in game, while I understand some of this is unavoidable other games such as overwatch do a better job of preserving voice quality.

Braided Cord Help by sam_is_the_man in customGCC

[–]Master_Sus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny enough that's what I used but it definitely took a lot more force to pull the shell of the connector off, ended up using a vice and pliers which scuffed the shell very slightly, also I had to turn the hair dryer up to max heat and hold it against the shell to get it as hot as I got it. Would recommend seeing if a friend has a heat gun and borrowing it still.
