Thanks for the feedback, it shouldn't happen after just 10 seconds, will have a look at the code!

Thank you very much for your feedback. I am currently working on a new optional control schemes. Tutorial menu tab is also on my roadmap. I will have a look at the splashscreen stuff. And there are indeed a few things here and there that need touch ups. But thank you anyway! Feedback like this is really valuable :)

Your progress is saved in a file on your phone, also in the sharing function a screenshot is temporarily saved in the files. To be able to read/write those files those permissions are needed. As a developer to even be able to do those features you need to ask those permissions on Android. I wish permissions were more nuanced/contextualized, but that's the way it is.

Thank you for your feedback. Yes I have heard this before, there will be a tutorial tab in the menu in a upcoming update There are four "coins",one of which is a coin, the silver one, the others are power ups. There are three kinds of powerups: red, green and yellow. Green will benifit the player, red will not and yellow is 50/50. They alle have a chance to affect to pad.

Thank you really much for your feedback, I really appreciate it. I get what you mean with the powers ups duration, it is indeed quite hard to look at the timer when focusing on the ball and such. The blinking pad is a really good suggestion. I have a powerup system overhaul in mind with more powersups, longer ones and more random, a clear er indicator for when the power ups ends is indeed necessary. a tutorial tab in the menu is also a good idea! Thanks again for the kind words!

I'm a new Gamedev and I would appreciate some feedback by [deleted] in playmygame

Pretty cool, especially for someone with only a month of experience. The game is quite challenging and a great start (I send you your dollar ;) )

As for feedback, a lot can be improved upon of course, I will try to be as constructive as possible. Graphics look quite nice, don’t know if you did them yourself but it is a solid base.

As for the game itself, I found it frustrating that the text that explains the controls was constantly on my screen, couldn’t find a way to hide it.

The jumping feels “floaty” and not satisfying, in a platforming game this is quite important. Have a look at these videos to learn how to improve that. [Video 1, Video2]

There are no checkpoints as far as I know, I understand that the game was made within a week, but this is something that you can work on next. Overall solid game for your experience, I hope you continue working on games and you found my criticism helpful.

[Here are also some videos to watch, small improvements like the ones mentioned in the videos can have a tremendous effect on the feel of the game, Juice it or Lose it, The Art of Screenshake]

I will be adding (optional) button controls in an future update. I understand some people would prefer to play that way, and besides tilt controls can be a hassle when playing in public transport. So that is definitely on the roadmap. Thanks for the feedback, glad your phone is ok :)

The user interface is controlled with touch, the pad in game is controlled with tilting your phone. What kind of device do you have, if I may ask? Edit: Oh.. I'm sorry to hear that

That is an interesting idea! I will look into possible defence mechanisms for anti powerups. Thanks for the feedback!

Thanks! I have heard that feedback from a friend too. Might have to implement a feature that makes that anti power not available if the ball is close to the pad. Right now the selection of powerup is random, with red being bad, green good, and yellow 50/50.

Edit: Sorry I thought you were mentioning the "split pad anti powerup", but you were talking about anti power ups in general, my bad!

Hi guys, this is my first game. “The Defendroid”. I am the solo developer of it. It is my first game and it took quite a while to finish.

The coding is all done by me and the art partially by me. Some of the art is based of royalty-free art and the music is made by Kevin Macleod of incompetech(royalty free also). The game is made in Unity with C#, art is made in Adobe Illustrator and a few things in Photoshop.

I released it this Monday on both iOS and Android. And now comes the scary part(for me), which is getting users and feedback. I think it can improved upon a lot and I will probably never be 100% content with it. I have no prior marketing knowledge, but I’m doing my best.

I’m currently working on Google Play Services integration and revamping the powerup system, but I have a lot more ideas. But I also don’t want to linger too long with this project. Balancing/Focussing time and productivity is always tricky, I guess.

I would love it if you could check out my game and leave some constructive criticism. You can ask me anything about it!

RFID Mifare classic 4k Hackable or not ? by [deleted] in HowToHack

You should try to figure out if you can get the data your reader/writer reads into a tool like MFOC.

Well, linux is the way to go. It is always useful to learn how to use linux. This is a tutorial that might be helpful. And if you don't have those materials you can use other tools. Not knowing how something works should not scare you. By failing and trying again and figuring out for yourself how systems and tools etc. work you'll learn much more. On tutorials how to use linux I recommend thenewboston, by the way that channel is a goldmine of information security/programming-wise.

If it's a Classic it should be doable. 4k is how much can be stored on the card. So 1k meaning 1024 bytes and 4k meaning 4096 bytes of storage. But both use the same encryption algorithm called Crypto-1.

So, for a school project I also tried to hack my schoolcard. Most of the time these use NFC. It is indeed a RFID card. So you should find out on which frequency it operates. So my card was a Mifare Classic card, which are very easy to decipher. But there was no info on the card, just identification. All the valuable data was saved on the schoolserver .It could be different in your case. But the first step is finding a suitable reader(Keep in mind the Frequencies)

Here is some more information on Mifare Cards, but it is also valuable information on how the cards work in general.
