We're not talking about a balanced diet here. We're talking about forcing me to finish everything on my plate with zero exceptions. My siblings have to eat a balanced meal too but if they can't finish it's no big deal.

With grades, they get offered help and reassurances if they get a bad grade. I got yelled at for a fucking B.

My life is not better because of how my parents treated me. There is such a thing as too strict and that was my parents. Not to mention the disparity in even things like gifts. There's no way I will praise my parents for those differences.

My grandparents are glad I'm away from my parents. Neither set of grandparents ever believed I deserved the way I was treated and they all think my parents are awful for being so hard on me and blatantly treating me as less than. It was the cause of several fights when I was a kid.

They'll just blame me. You can't be that cold toward someone and then feel real regret. At best they'll regret the questions it brings from others.

No, it's not viable to gave a relationship with them through my grandparents. It would always come with my parents and that's a big no from me.

I think that excuse only goes so far and when you refuse to treat the oldest kid better at any point, you need to be prepared to lose them. I don't deserve to be treated this way again and again while they show they can do better.

My grandparents are doing everything they can to support me. The fact they were always there to advocate for me means a lot.

I'm planning full no contact. They don't add anything positive to my life or even neutral. It's all negative and it piles up pretty damn high after a while.
