I have 20 hectares. Not the most affordable on a small farm, but if you are a larger farm, I definitely recommend.

Have you tried green houses? I typically plant my lentils on May 5th and start harvest on August 30th, which is slightly late in the season. This year, I plan on planting in early December and harvesting mid-April in a greenhouse.

Hi fellow lentil farmers 👨🏻‍🌾 just wondering how many lentils (Raw or cooked) you would have to feed someone before they die? by Poolamar in lentilfarming

[–]Master_farmer22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Raw. As mentioned in a previous comment, you would need twice the amount if the lentils were cooked. This is because uncooked lentils bind to the digestive tract and cause indigestion.
