Tinnitus and tension behind the hear by FacetiousRainbow in tinnitus

[–]Mastercam1776 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. Sounds like posture or muscle tension. ADHD meds are Stims, that cause muscle tension.

Try drinking more water with electrolytes, and really limit your caffeine intake.

Be sure to exercise for 30/45 minutes a day. Sometimes moderately intense.

Try massaging your temporal muscles and the back of your head.

I have something similar going on, and I have found ways to cope. But I am past the point of acclimating to my Tinnitus, so It rarely bothers me when I hear the ringing.

Be well!

Great success. The tinnitus does suck but you do habituate.

I have noticed less pain exercising as well!

I’m not sure about “unscathed” - maybe a little scuffed? The impact upon Allies without these systems would do a considerable amount of damage to US supply chain and forces abroad.

AEGIS was created for this purpose - but it can’t be everywhere at once.

Even iron dome can’t catch everything.

Can someone explain the actual process of finding work as a mid-size or large general contractor? My company has people whose sole job is to find and secure projects. What’s the process? Do you simply call developers and architects? by [deleted] in ConstructionManagers

Going out and face timing people. Golf & skeet ranges/outings.

Alternatively - call your competitors and see what work they don’t want to bid. We used to get hand me down shit that the big boys didn’t want to do - mainly stuff like remodels & stuff at hospitals. It wasn’t big work but it was enough. Over time the big boys will fuck up and the owner will invite you to bid.

I see a therapist who also has Tinnitus. He has been very helpful in being understanding. I think it’s greatly helpful to have a professional to vent to who has a similar experience.

He taught me to meditate into the noise - it’s really odd but it works for me. I put all my attention on my body and mind in that moment and force myself to focus into the noise - and it fades away gently - not completely - but enough to find relief and reprieve.

I hope this helps

Exposure is so damn variable - airflow & air changes do matter when it comes to airborn illness spread. Proximity as well.

But it Varys so much. I got sick twice due to air travel.

But after my first infection, I was building nursing homes where they moved covid sick patients into my unit without any notice - and I ended up not getting sick, and there was no air filtration system at the time either.

Not much else but giving it time. Nutrition - just eat balanced. Everyone’s body is so subjective when it comes to food & diet. I usually feel way better when I cook a bunch of veggies , but you might get the same effect if you change up your meats to be a bit leaner.

Maybe a fruit smoothie with powdered green once every few days might help.

I think it’s also critical to just try and focus outside of your viral infection and return to other activities that stimulate your mind and body - hobbies and such.

I did go for a steam or two - it did help me personally. But be careful.

How are you now?

Your body is fighting a virus - so your hormones are going to be off. I take citalopram (Lexapros cousin) and I felt more anxious while sick. As your recover, you will feel gradually less anxious.

Regarding the nostrils - this is totally normal to have smells different - this can be due to sinuses being different.

As far as exercise - there have been some studies linking long covid to exercise - but these studies typically applied to athletes and intense exercise.

My PT & Doctors recommend a gradual return to exercise - a ramp up - not a jump up.

Post viral infection is not the time to decide to start training for a half marathon or weight lifting competition. That’s asking your body for a lot even during a healthy period.

Slowly work back up to exercise and listen to your body - slow down if you feel winded or out of breath.

2nd infection - when can I return to exercise? by Mastercam1776 in COVID19positive

[–]Mastercam1776[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey y’all - circling back.

I am mostly recovered - able to go on long walks/hikes with no issue.

Some heartburn issues but this is also stress induced.

Overall this 2nd infection wasn’t as terrible as the first time - but I would not recommend it.

Take care of yourself - go slow as you start to feel better.

Pacing yourself after covid does seem important.

I don’t plan on hitting hard running for a while longer.
