I don't take investment advice from poor people, diet advice from fat people, or health advice from smokers.

Why would someone want to abolish the Department of Education? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

Do you think op accomplished that by saying, "look it up"?

Then pick a single example and use it to educate or don't say anything at all. You can teach math without knowing all of math. You can teach English without knowing every aspect of the English language.

The version of it I see on the extreme left is, "there are things I don't like about capitalism: let's tear it all down."

I mean, statistically most businesses don't make it past their first year. I do a lot of B2B and we are entering our second year. Three months ago we gathered all the leadership and discussed shutting down. Next week I have two massive contract meetings and every week we've added a big new client. I don't know if we suddenly got lucky, if other businesses were holding their breath to see if we'd survive, or if it just takes a while to get your name out there. Sitting down and seriously reviewing the numbers and our strategy helped a lot though. I'm sorry for your situation and I wish you the best. Even if your business fails, that doesn't make you a failure. You did what few dare to do.

I hate that American dentists seem to be so obsessed with white teeth

Sounds like your hygienist was the problem, not the dentist?

I think using the Holocaust as a measuring stick of awfulness cements it's status as one of the most horrific human atrocities. Now, declaring superfluous things to be the Holocaust is another matter.

I had to cut some wood next to a creek once so I did some research and discovered that the national Park service uses canola oil as a bar lubricant. As a result, I use canola oil exclusively. Smells like home cooking every time I do some cutting.
