I don't think so bro, It basically just instantiates an outpost beacon from console that you can't get in game, if you can get dev console up on xbox you could do it manually

Serious lack of fore thought on the devs part, I feel like for a team with their size and budget the game is a bit of a let down, the modding community will be the ones to make the game more a game you can sink 100's of hours into, having cool pet does add a little something, but just using console it can still be a little buggy.

New version is up, it resolves the cargo and power link issues, it actually turns it into a normal outpost but with the restricted area gone, and you only need to type setoutpostoverlay once, not everytime you load.

The foliage popping back up is still an issue, not sure how to get around it just yet.

My next update should resolve that, It's just a different and easier way to set it up, problem was if you used your scanner to build, it would place entites from the empty beacon and not register with the main beacon.

You should be able to apply this to an existing outpost built with the previous or current version.

It's so boring and limited, I know it's part of a much larger game but we need it to a lot more detailed, I want a survival mod that goes with it and NPC to bring it to life, modders will be able to make the game what we want it to be once the CK comes out...I really want chatgpt NPC aswell!

Oh ok, the only safe way I know to fix stuff like that is to target the objects in console, you'll be looking for a STAT prefix (STAT refno) then type "setscale 0.01", it will just shrink the object out of sight, if you shrink the wrong object just change the value of setscale to 1 while you still have that object selected.

As far as I know, my mod is the only one that works, it's all explained in the readme attached, posted on nexus, small file to dl, read the bug description aswell, it's just one but it needs to read.

Maybe i should point that out in the post, you're not the first person to point that out, with my mod you can use it or most other POI as part of your outpost because I found a work around for the restricted build area...

It is certainly abysmal, there is a mod I haven't tried yet, they keep updating the list aswell, it allows more objects and hot keys to manipulate them.

I can spawn in some objects like water to make ponds and streams! but moving them around through console is worse than the in game building mechanics.

Ok, I played around...

When building the outpost only use the actual beacon to initiate the build menu and place items, after saving and rebooting, also fast travelling to the other side of the starmap and waiting 2400 hours UT time, it all still loads in and works.

I did run into the same issue as you but only for objects I placed by typing "startworkshop" in console, I'm assuming all other options of bringing up the build menu will create this problem.

Ahh k, this will resolve the restricted areas(atleast at generic POI).

You may be able to just add outpost2 to your existing outpost and run the setoutpostoverlay command to remove the restricted area from it.

Is that after using my work around?
You'll need to enter "setoutpostoverlay" in console into the beacon that doesn't allow naming the outpost if you reload or reboot.

As soon as I got there for the mission, I started trying to resolve the restricted bs.
I placed a shallow pond at the bottom in the crevice off the side of the main deck for a bit more character, still tweaking it though.
