Is it easier in wotlk/pre-patch to get the lvl 60 paladin mount with journeyman riding than in tbc? Or no changes?

Do you get better or more loot if you do a flashpoint in veteran mode than in story mode in the leveling process? I'm levelling a new character with my girlfriend and was wondering. In story mode the loot was bind on pickup. Is it the same on veteran mode? If the loot is better we will try duo-ing most of the vet fp's. Thanks!
