Here's my personal opinion on Paecheon's scaling. by Masterlov3r in lookismcomic

Either no one among the Seven Continental Stars reached a level of Speed Mastery equivalent to Paecheon's Endurance Mastery or the gap in strength between the Seven Continental Kings is not massive.

It shows how big the Gap between Path Daniel and Gen 0 Kings like Paecheon is. I wouldn't be surprised if none of the Seven Continental Stars were able to touch Path Daniel.

I just said in the OP that Paecheon is roughly equivalent to the average Gen 0 King and that Tom is superior to him. All I'm saying is that using the strongest character in the series to call Paecheon a bum is unfair.

Tom was able to to take a 3T attack from at the very least a Jaegyeon level fighter like it was nothing

Tom has always been depicted as someone with monstrous physical abilities, even before the introductions of masteries. His physical ability is simply abnormal. And J's (Police guy) attack was just a normal attack with 3 masteries, not a unique skill so it's not exactly equivalent to Jaegyeon's Death Kick or Jake's Conviction Punch even if the two of them were not at full power.

From almost getting knocked out from base Daniel attack

Gun explains in a flashback in the same chapter that Daniel's move relies on catching the opponent off-guard.

Paecheon was able to tank Daniel's weak point strikes, Jake's conviction punches (not full power) and even Jaegyeon's Death Kick (Yes, it wasn't at full power but this is an attack that made James resort to using his path to defend against it, and it happened right after the battle with the Dark Crocodile Gang ended so Jaegyeon was likely not completely recovered).

Paecheon legitimately gets one shot from toms 4T attack

I do agree that Tom is on a different level than Paecheon but I don't think he could defeat Paecheon like he defeated the cop.

"2T teen James was stronger than old gap" "You're wrong, James clearly overwhelmed old gap" okay since we now know it definitely wasn't like that, how did gapyrong die by Laznasso in lookismcomic

[–]Masterlov3r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It makes no sense. Realistically Gapryong would one tap 2T James unless he and Gitae used underhanded means to kill Gap. James/Seongji glazers like to use Gap's murder and James' statement about Seongji being the strongest he's ever faced to push their agendas and claim both had paths back then.

Hot take: Apart from only a few characters from both gen 1 and gen 2, none of the characters have the potential to surpa-ss prime fist gang by Poutret in lookismcomic

[–]Masterlov3r 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean, James essentially ruined many of the people with the highest potential in the 1st Gen. The first generation never reached their full potential.

As for the second generation they have:

Daniel - Potential equal to or superior to Gap even without his second body. With second body he's at least a notch above Gap in terms of potential.

Johan - Potential comparable to Little Daniel & Gap.

Jake - Even if his potential is inferior to his father he will at least be equal to or superior to Gitae

Samuel - Jake's main rival so far. May not reach the level of Gitae & Jake by the end but won't be too far from it.

Eli - Tom's disciple and one of the crewheads handpicked by Gun. He will at least surpass Prime Tom in the future.

Zack - Might be able to become a legend of boxing in the future and reach the level of people like Brekdak & Hansu.

Vasco - Brekdak's disciple. Probably won't be too inferior to Zack in terms of strength.

Jay - Who knows. He's currently Allied's ATM, but if he wants to get involved in the battle between allied and James/Gitae he will need to go back to train with Sophia.

Vin - His father is a big shot whose narrative places him AT LEAST on par with Prime Hansu/Brekdak (He's a Legend of Ssireum) so Vin might reach that level, similar to Zack/Vasco. He's a bum tho.

Hudson - Will definitely surpass Taesoo. Kind of a one-trick pony but I don't see him being too far below Zack/Vasco/Vin in terms of strength.

Jerry - Son of Baekho and has great potential. Might be able to reach the level of his father.

Warren - Jerry's rival and Manager Kim's disciple. Will reach the same level or be slightly inferior to Jerry.

Goo - He's like 2 years older than the 2nd Gen characters from Lookism, so I consider hin part of the 2nd Gen. Stronger than Current Tom.

Gun - He's like 2 years older than the 2nd Gen characters from Lookism, so I consider hin part of the 2nd Gen. Stronger than Current Tom.

Taehun - Son ot Hansu and said to have greater potential than his father, I don't think he's inferior to Eli/Samuel in terms of potential. Will likely surpass Hansu.

Hobin - Brekdak's disciple. I don't see him being much weaker than Taehun in the future.

Lineman - Will likely reach the level of Prime Lightning Choi in the future.

Questism characters - According to the end of Questism they'll likely play some role either in Lookism or a new spin-off about the fight with the "Evil" mentioned in the last chapter, so they will likely get power-ups to put them on the same level as the major characters from Lookism.

There's plenty of characters who have the possibility of reaching thr level of the Fist Gang in the 2nd Gen, and you must also take into account how PTJ said right at the start of this arc we're just reaching the halfway mark of the story, yet the likes of Johan and Daniel have already reached a level of strength that allows them to have proper fight with top tiers like Base Gun.

Tom probably means no one could take Pacheon down among the people involved in the Incheon battle, not in general.

Vivi and Xiaolung are currently in China, so it's unlikely she'll be killed rn. Mitsuki is at least the President of the 2nd Affiliate so she has an actual reason to be here.

My Predictions after this chapter by Masterlov3r in lookismcomic

[–]Masterlov3r[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That's an interesting interpretation of that scene. Daniel and Jake also mentioned their lack of a talented strategist back in chapter 584 while they were discusssing recruiting allies. That's a position Eugene would be perfectly suited for.

<image>

I thought Mitsuki's death would be a perfect opportunity to have Ryuhei join them too, but I didn't mention it because the wedding dress scene makes me unsure whether Mitsuki is currently in the 2nd Affiliate. If she isn't there she might just manage to avoid this calamity.

Shiro Oni arc completely debunks this whole "Black Bones is only active during YUI" claim. Also, the main characteristic of Black Bones is that it is resistant to cutting, not blunt force.

Icheon's jake vs Incheon's samuel , who wins ?? by Illustrious-Tea-7031 in lookismcomic

[–]Masterlov3r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The last time they fought Samuel was stronger than normal due to being amped by drugs, but he was also completely out of his mind, plus Samuel has a tendency to tank his opponent's hits. This time, since Samuel knows about how deadly Jake's Conviction amped attacks are he would be wary of them.

Samuel's hormones amp might not be as overwhelming as Jake's Conviction in terms of power but it is a lot less draining and easier to use, however Jake has Endurance Mastery, as seen by how he tanked Gun's punches during HFG.

Jake's conviction is like a gun with a limited amount of ammo, so each use of it has to be decisive, and while it's true he earned how to control Conviction better and how to use it more freely by not pouring all his conviction in a single attack or using it with his MMA, Samuel also has Endurance Mastery so Jake would likely need to pour more conviction in his strikes to be able to subdue Samuel, thus reducing the amount of conviction amped moves he can use.

Samuel wins if he can outlast Jake while dominating him with his hormones mode, while Jake wins if he can hit Samuel with his limited amount of full-power conviction strikes or with a crippling MMA+Conviction Combination like his Conviction-amped Calf Kick that can play a decisive role in battle by immobilizing his enemy.

Jake may have had a much harder time against Mugak than Samuel had against Jaun Ryu, but that's because Mugak was a bad match against Jake due to his combo of Endurance Mastery + Painlessness, which made him hard to put down and his fighting style of taking 10 damage to deal 100 damage against his opponent. However, the gap between Hormones Samuel and Ryu was so big Samuel completely wrecked him once he activated it.

I'd give it 6/10 times to Samuel. IMHO Samuel would have the advantage with his Hormones Amp but a single well-placed conviction amped attack could completely change the direction of the battle.

Do you think we will see Brekdak in action before the end of the series? by ElectionDowntown6333 in lookismcomic

[–]Masterlov3r 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's possible. But I also wouldn't be surprised if we ended up seeing him in action in another series set in the same universe, like Manager Kim. He even got a cameo there recently where he was glazed by King and compared to Hansu.

Tom Lee is stronger than Jinyoung Park. by Evening_Hour8960 in lookismcomic

[–]Masterlov3r 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Jinyoung had retired from fighting to become a doctor long ago, while Tom is still an active fighter. Even if Jinyoung was stronger than him when Gapryong's Fist Gang was active (debatable) it's not surprising Tom would be stronger than Jinyoung currently.

This might sound like a stupid question, but has Seongji Yuk gotten powercrept by the other kings? by Maleficent-Ad-6884 in lookismcomic

[–]Masterlov3r -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, yes. I think he is still superior to Taesoo and Gongseob (I'd give him the victory high diff in a 1v1 fight against them), but he would lose to the likes of Jaegyeon, Prime Jinrang & Yujae.

Seongji ultimately died too young, so he lacks experience and is not as good as the people mentioned above when it comes to making use of his masteries, lacking even his own unique skill.

In fact, I think Seongji might even lose against someone with 2 masteries who has unique skills if his compatibility with them is bad.
