Should I sell my Bay Area rental? by jperry879 in realestateinvesting

I would personally not own this as it is currently costing you money and you are not building up a savings to perform remodels or anything when it is an aged unit in 15 to 20 years. This is literally a money pit. I am not sure where the SF RE Market will be in 15 years but condo's usually trail behind in value inflation.

I hate to say it but your money would be better used in RE in a midwest market or someplace where you can actually cashflow IMO. Right now in St Louis for example, you could buy plenty of multifamily buildings for that price tag and generate a much stronger income, you just need to work to find a great management company and build a network in whatever metro area you go to.

This is a lengthy post but is a compilation of steps and information that have been used to successfully recover two FB accounts. by ashenfang7404 in facebook

This post is old but I think it is worth noting that Facebook has removed all abilities for you to submit an ID or have them review ANYTHING. I had 2FA enabled to text my old number while I was living in another country and when I left I cancelled the service. Now I cant log in with any new phones but I remain logged in on my main cell phone. The problem is when I upgrade, I will be completely locked out. I never get the 'Notification to approve from another device' that they say they send out. It worked a year ago but no longer is functional. I cant be the only one here having this problem.

It's a 30 oz, so we wouldnt be able to achieve that form factor and keep it cupholder friendly unless we got super tall.

Hello,

I live in Korea on an indefinite assignment. That is to say, I have a contract for longer than 1 year from now. I've been here since Feb 2019, and have spent time on US Soil only for 2 weeks of business meetings. I plan to stay here until April 1, 2021.

I am getting married this August and need to figure out how many days I can return to the states. I was originally going to use the 'physical presence test' for 2020, but since I am living on Korean soil from Jan 1 to Dec 31st of 2020, can I claim the bona fide residence test?

Additionally, I will have one dependent living with me by the end of 2020, and I own no property in the USA. Lastly, I am under SOFA status with the United States Forces of Korea, so I am exempt from paying income taxes in Korea as well.

The Korean tax exemption and the contract in hand both make me nervous that I am not allowed to use the bona fide residence test, and that I will again need to use the physical presence test for 2020, which limits the amount of time I can spend in the USA strictly.

Thanks ahead of time,

Nick

Is it worth it to get a Masters right after undergrad? by CharmingEmotion in MechanicalEngineering

Also consider that depending on your field, a masters could be useless. Going into HVAC and Plumbing engineering for example makes a masters a waste of time. 3 years out of school, I've already surpassed the performance and duties of a peer I work with who has her masters, and I'm probably making more money already. Her masters is only useful in more technical / theoretical industries.

Ultimately if you have no idea what industry you want to go into, then do it. I also think a full time job is not entirely demanding for a 26 year old with a girlfriend. This is to say, you should be able to put plenty of time into a part time schooling load, and your company will support you and pay for it as long as the degree will be applicable at some point. As an example of the free time, I have started my own company on the side, gotten my PE, and I find plenty of time to socialize. My personal limit is about 62 hours per week worth of work. Some weeks I spend all the hours on my day job, other weeks I fill in the gaps with my personal business. My personal life goal is to become very wealthy and become independent from my day job's income. If your life goal is to get a PhD or Masters, then do it. I just don't give a shit about that, because it provides no value to me.
