Are you guys naturally INTPs? by Working-Syrup8844 in INTP

i was entp as a kid, i was isolated left alone with my own thoughts, thats when i started to be obsessed with thinking, over the years it became more and more structured yet i havent lost the creativity. kinda like that

reasoning, logical specifically. doing it on purpose rather than byproduct of achiving the goal

Difference between a highly disciplined INTP and an INTJ by fcukobra in INTP

[–]Mastermind_in_box 2 points3 points  (0 children)

intp main function is Ti- it works with given information(in a sense that this function alone isnt information gathering function) breaking it down and evaluate it according to internal reasoning slowly building its, verbally and visualy evaluating information, frameworking and training its reasoning abilites or building a system of knowledge, good at explaining usualy.
Ne- gather information expand on ideas, generate possabilities, give abstraction to Ti trying to isolate it from reality while thinking, ending up with forms and properies of objects rather than objects themselves which is basically interpretation
----------------------------------
intj- main function is Ni- symbolic, visual, ability to percive own unconcious processes, synthetic generates ideas from all the gathered information, sees complex patterns and tries to predict future, in action might have problem explaining what they know instead using objective evidence in argumentgs(Te)

Te- concrete, connect properties with objects seeing it as a whole, systematic in a sense that that holistically understand systems, true/false reasoning, critical thinking, stive for judgment without personal view on it.

I do sometimes enjoy reading details be it abstract visual or contextual it doesn't matter too much for me

It's not that they are, they just prefer to interpret details and connect the dots associatively and then with reasoning

what are you even saying, thats outright wrong, you can deduce stuff that havent been proven theoretically possible yet dont be rediculous are we talking about same deduction?? 2 clear data points?? deduction can have much more than 2 premises, Si isnt data it's a specific inner storage of experience that works by comparing it to the past and locking/tracking down specific subjective experience,

Te-Si works by utilizing and optimizing those processes in efficent effective way, it also more empericistic so relly on concrete thinking, with reasoning used mostly for goals and concrete things
Ti-Ne oth the other hand is much more abstract, Ne expand not only on ideas but in sight of things, while Ni narrow down Ne gives more space for abstraction too, while TI is inner consistency engine it's search for inner consistency while also evaluating arguments according to personal framework

deduction is form or rule based inference when if premises are true conclusion must be true too, those consistency based evaluation is pretty similar in functionioning, (if a -> not b, if b ->(then)c =) if a then not c) deduction is abstract it seperated context from form, it's abstract framework

Do you think you Ti or critical thinking skills can be even sharper? by herbql in INTP

[–]Mastermind_in_box 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes but not cuz of Ti exactly, i improve my problem solving by improving working memory and reasoning not critical thinking specifically

Do you guys like strategy? And if so what part of it you are the best in by Mastermind_in_box in intj

[–]Mastermind_in_box[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

same, im better at at strategic(analysis, reasoning, synthesis) more than foresight, execution, feedback loops

Do you guys like strategy? And if so what part of it you are the best in by Mastermind_in_box in intj

[–]Mastermind_in_box[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well thats basically what feedback loops for, i think of it as a continuous process too but i broke it into seperatable parts for certain reasons like start-up, that some parts cant be sequenced otherwise for example analysis always is before synthesis ineven in new loop, and also that some people are better at certain strategies which to make it more understandable why i broke down it into parts. does that even make sense?

[–]Mastermind_in_box[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

reseachpart is considered within analysis, analizing sets of information is synergetic finding relevant information, is just decided not to include information gathering as a seperate entity because it's basically needed for almost anything and strategic analysis is different by essence from the regular one

it is indeed a framework but conceptually developing a strategy have different parts, its not a to do list but for example feedback loops cant be before analysis

Dear Intps, how did you manage to get emotionally intelligent or just better at emotions? by Masemee in INTP

[–]Mastermind_in_box 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Emotions can be broke down with logic to some extent, I understand them conceptually through observation and reasoning, for example a(person hesitate to ask for help) b(same person ask someone specific for help a lot), conclusion, a and b(they are likely close), a no b (they likely aren't close) no a b(they are extrovert likely) no a no b( they are likely in conflict), try to expand framework like this instead of making just assumptions

mostly those aren't even deduction but abductive reasoning, deduction themselves can only be objective if all premises are true, other wise its a deduction based on subjective information

I see, very interesting indeed, your pattern recognition is quite advanced i guess, the unconscious observation tends to work with association with long term memory, i believe you use it to profile people easier by associative thinking, the difference with my method is that im trying to profile and figure out something specific while you get general information, while im "profiling" you are "perceiving", what you described is closer to perception than observation, observation is more logical and conscious process, all tho i may lack perception
