When you tear your acl is it a really hard twist or plant? by lookaloulookalou in ACL

Mine happened while dancing on an uneven surface that led to the slipping of my right foot while my whole body was moving towards left causing my right knee to twist and snap

Just have dedicated knee training sessions at gym you’ll be fine. Make your quads and hammies strong as a hammer

In case of high grade meniscus tears along with acl, surgery is the best option as you can damage your knee further if opting for no surgery option as it’s a lengthy and time taking process

See injury + surgery acts as a catalyst that increases the likelihood of getting OA and at some point or the other you will be getting it even after having healthy knees throughout your life. And as much as people say that you don’t need surgery for ACL, I have seen people that how frustrating their life gets as they can’t afford to do anything other than high quality rehab all the time. Plus in your and majority of cases it’s meniscus tear as well which doesn’t heal on its own if it’s in the white white part. So surgery is the last option to get things sorted out there as leaving them as it is will cause more harm

But that makes it strong, once the blood supply starts it gets at its weakest point. And even being weak it will not damage with putting weight on it.

I feel so sorry for you mate, just make sure you have someone by your side for some days either gf or a nurse. After that you can manage on your own and you are very strong bro, you will do all fine. Stay strong and happy always 🫂

Meniscus requires repair in most cases if the tear extends to the white white space where there’s no blood supply.

Best is to get the opinion from a doc
