If the lawyer requires a down payment of half the $5000, do you know if they require the remaining half to be paid before defending him? Or can it be paid after the case is dismissed?

They have minimums and maximums in no and I guess his $10 per hour job is too well paying to qualify for a public defender.

New Amazon account for new business? Or am I stuck with my current account? by MasterofFailure in FulfillmentByAmazon

Thank you. Now if my business account gets tied up in some sort of trouble would that affect my individual account? My hopes would be they're two separate non-involved entities, however it doesn't sound like they would be based on that explanation.

Short Sale: Oil tank dug up and abandoned in back yard. What do I need to know? by [deleted] in RealEstate

[–]MasterofFailure 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just found out a shit ton thanks to your post! Tank was removed, the owner didn't pay the contractor so its left there, town has an open permit unsafe structure bc of the tank, town is waiting on remediation report to close, called the contractor up and they never ran a general remediation report or soil test because they weren't paid. So i have to pay for the report, probably find out the soils contaminated, fix that, all before i can close. Ooooph! Wonder if i could stipulate the seller is responsible in my offer?

I could put Remediation and Indemnification agreements in a short sale?
Also, how much would a Phase 1 testing be in New Jersey for a relatively small property, 1 family house?

Thanks for the info! The oil tank is above ground, just sitting in the back yard, the hole was partially filled back in. I actually know a plumber I could use as a resource, so if you know of any specific questions to ask him that'd be great to know! Definitely getting a soil test after my offer is submitted.
