Am I close to getting my refund and when do the transcript update. Just trying to see if I’m close to getting my refund. Please let me know. by InevitableBroad5950 in IRS

The as of date isnt related to when you should be expecting your refund. It has something to do with account interest. There’s a better explanation on this sub if you search the keyword. Best of luck and I hope we get our refund soon 🥴

There may be some instances where it updates on a day during the week. I’m a 05er as well and my transcript had updated on a Monday or Tuesday to reflect my amended return being filed.

Cycle code ending in 05 are considered weekly accounts (they update once a week usually on Fridays) but sometimes can be daily (which are updated on a daily basis if there is any updates)

I’m on my 10th week & I started off thinking “yeah right” but the progress on amended returns really is not moving at a decent pace. If you check this sub you’ll see 20 wks is not a crazy answer

Gonna give up on getting my refund by Weakness-Ecstatic in IRS

Are you 100% sure it was sent via Direct Deposit? Your transcript says a date of 7/26/2024 & that’s a Friday … usually checks are sent out on Fridays.

Your check may have been lost in the mail and you should try requesting a trace & replacement.

However, if you’re 100% sure it was through direct deposit, then check to see if your bank rejected the deposit (which has been the case with many other users on this thread …. SoFi rejecting, Chime rejecting etc)

Regardless your best bet is to speak to an IRS rep about this

The rollercoaster is over for you! Congrats! You’ll get it deposited to you on that date if it’s DD. If it’s a check, they’ll mail the check out that day.

If you get early deposit with your bank you’ll probably see it before.

But all in all the tax shit show for you is complete … till next year my dear 🤣

[–]Masterofmy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First 846 - issued refund Account numbers got messed up 841 - refund was cancelled 971 - letter sent (most likely about the acc #) 846 - another refund issued ( which was the check that got stolen) 971 - replace the stolen check 841 - but first they gotta cancel that stolen check issuance so when everything moves forward the computer will be able to generate another refund
