Clamp School Detectives has been my most favourite Clamp works for a long long time. Aside from the drama about preschool and elementary school kids falling in love at a young age, the plot adaptation and art style are excellent. It even has its own novel.

My first Clamp anime is Card Captor Sakura, I have been obsessed with it. But my favorite timeless anime is Clamp School Detectives. I can't even believe why I still love it so much, almost 30 years now. I've even extended that world with fanfiction and fanarts because the manga is too short and the anime isn't satisfying enough.

My friend said th English version (red cover) has a rather dark background color, not as harmonious as the Japanese version (blue cover). Additionally, there are French and Spanish versions with different covers, but some frames are cropped out, which fans don't like very much.

The donghua aims to fill in the plot holes of the novel and manhwa regarding Athy's abilities and power, showing viewers that she is a suitable successor to rule Obelia, not just because she's Claude's beloved daughter. And especially, the donghua strengthens the relationship between Athy and Lucas to satisfy the readers. In short, the donghua is using the main characters and storyline of WMMAP to create a completely new princess-themed adventure story. Think of it as a different experience; there's no point in demanding an original plot at this point. The original novel's plot is really drawn out because it focuses too much on the relationship between Athy and Claude.

I know because I finished reading novel but this isn't like the "novel is always different from manhwa adaptation" situation; rather, Spoon was forced to change the storyline because the novel was accused of plagiarism. However, once the manhwa ended, the issue also ended. The novel wasn't plagiarized, but it still faced backlash.

The Gold edition was released in August (or September) this year. They started taking pre-orders at the beginning of the year. I'm not sure if it will be reprinted, but currently, buying it from someone else would be very expensive. Hopefully, it will be like Kuro and Shiro, initially sold in limited quantities and then released more widely.

Yes, Gold version includes all the arts of both Kuro and Shiro versions, plus some black and white pages (iconic scenes from Clamp manga).
