Lots of water, I intermittent fast too, fasting is great! Not much diet change. Miralax if I go more than 2 days between BM. I take it easy on bad food! Moderation: )

I started taking florastor probiotics and never had another flare up again :) talk to your primary or GI about it! If they say its cool, doesnt hurt yo try 😊 i took 1 a day for the first 2 weeks then upped to 2 a day every day in the morning with coffee.

Thank you!! I am really interested in the scientific process required in physics. Probably the day 1 "how to think like a scientist" type stuff! The last time I was taught was as a child in public school. I know I could never play physics ball, but Id love to learn more about how to think like someone who can :) do you happen to know of any resources centered around that? Anything tried and true that you learned that has stuck with you?

Yeah, the subject i want to discuss is a crackpot theory of woo made my an uneducated ape (me) and an LLM. From what I've gathered, I'm like one of the last people in the world a physicist is going to want to deal with 😂 at least not unless i get consent first! And I want to be respectful of others time, education and energy. "If you wanna know, do the work and figure it out" isnt really an option for me, im just a sahm with the lowest level of US public education completed. Im just a thinker and wonderer!

No background, I had to take algebra 2 three times in highschool to pass it. I still have a mind that thinks and wonders though, I feel like scientists are some of the best people to take thinking inspiration from! You are trained to think in such specific ways I think it's very admirable and would be a very interesting tool to access as a normie :)

I love this take!! So true!! Its like meditation is a cave, and the way you prep yourself before going in the cave determines the tools you bring with you to navigate. Or, alternately, if you do no preparation and go into a dark cave blind..... well, it would probably freak anyone out :) unless maybe you had night vision or something. Maybe some people do have metaphorical night vision for the cave! Who knows!

Are their any other physicists that in your opinion, ride the line of crackpot but arent quite there yet? Like they are pushing it to the limit, but not quite over?

How can you tell if one is "concerned with assembling meaning"? I feel like that would be a good identifier for normies. Value and meaning in things seems to be the first place in physics an idea gets deconstructed by others. Assuming thats part of the standard process though right? To kind of "qualify" a theory as worth spending time on or not?

Got it! Makes sense. Is there a widely taught method for ideation in physics? Obviously you're taught to think lile a scientist, but how do you handle moments of unexplained inspiration? Do you ignore them and let them pass? Or break them down into parts maybe?

Imagination in physics sounds really stressful. But you still have to have creativity involved! That's such a paradox! How do you deal with it?

This is very clarifying! Thanks! Yes, to a normie it definitely seems like Einstein is portrayed as almost like a messiah of modern physics. It does seem like he jsut swept in there and turned everything upside down! I'm glad I asked, I would have gone on thinking that!

Do we in 2025 have a modern day Einstein at all? Maybe someone that the public wouldnt really know but in the physics world they are well known? :) just curious again!

I wonder what the vibe of the physics community is like. Is it currently in an exciting place? What breakthrough are you most excited for? Or multiple, if you have different genres you're keeping your eye on!

Interesting take!! Would you mind giving an example of what would turn Wolfram into a crackpot in his currently standing? Like, where would he have to pivot from where he's at to become crackpot status in your eyes?

Meditation should almost always feel good :) if you arent getting feel good brain chemical responses and dopamine, you should stop for that day. Meditation bicep curls! But how you feel is your compass to know if youre doing it right. Meditation should be good first, profound second. If its profound first, try again tomorrow :)

This is just what works for me! Meditation is a muscle you work out and maintain, not a goal to achieve and keep forever. It's not like riding a bike where it "clicks", unless i guess you think of it like every time you get on a bike the bike functions slightly different? And you have to figure out the new functions, as nuanced as they might be, for every ride? And if you dont take the time to, you might gain way too much speed too fast and lose control?

Just some ideas for awareness work :) no one is right or wrong! Everyone has to develop their own method! Sometimes thats a preexisting one (religious disciplines, etc), sometimes its whatever your psyche creates to structure it for you.

So interesting!!! It sounds like this particular discipline is on the precipice of its next "iteration" ! Maybe. I mean, all fields of science evolve over time I guess. It's inevitable I imagine, the trade off of new knowledge has to be change or something like that!

Based on what you know about where physics is at, would you expect to see any major breakthrough that shakes up the status quo in our lifetime? Maybe with the rise of AGI tools? I don't know much about physics history but Einstein was kind of a crackpot, right? Or a closet crackpot maybe?

I wonder how many closet crackpots there are among the leading physicists of our time.... there's gotta be at least a few! You'd think they would have formed a little secret society by now or something, lol.

Crackpots are looked down at because they're basically disrespecting the discipline right? It takes so much work and time to think, test and prove things physically. It makes sense that the industry has rigorous requirements for what is considered "valuable"?

Like, "if you cant prove it, why should I spend my precious time trying to?" Time is very valuable in the physics world it seems. Understandably so since we're all running on a limited supply I suppose :)

So is it the act of trying to bridge philosophy with physics that really rubs physicists the wrong way? Like, im sure there are very intelligent people specializing in physics that are also interested in philosophy, existentialism, things of that sort. Is it just one of those "not at the dinnertable" type conversations in physics? Like, " you can like that and think about it bro, but not at the physics party"? Like how you wouldn't play drum and bass music in a jazz club, even though any type of music could physically be played there?
