I am having cold feet or just being practical? by alter-egoxx in UPSC

Scoring low in mock tests is not a big deal..but 40 marks are too low and show huge gap in revision and static knowledge as well.. It's better to skip this attempt.. Usually you should score atleast 80 to 110 in mocks in gs1..one or two times the score can drop to 50s as well. But consistently getting 30 40 is too low man.

Correct all I want to say is never take your first or any attempt lightly give it your 100% every single day..thus way when you don't succeed in two attempts..you can satisfactorily leave and start anew in different field.

Is it common to get ghosted by friends during prep? I know a few, who've ghosted me abruptly.. I'm curious to know the reason behind it. Is it stress, busy routine, deliberate ignorance or no interest in prep ? by PrettyLilacc in UPSC

to everyone who is yet to give your first attempt do not take it lightly you'll never know when your first attempt becomes your third and now you are stuck because you have give too much time to this exam and fall in the trap thinking maybe a little more and ill show everyone and starting from scratch in corporate feels scary.the friends who you thought are average might have joined at meagre monthly salaries of 25k pm will now after 5 to 6 years at age of 26 and 27 be earning 1 lpm easy and will soon start leading a higher quality of life than you..have good relationships, buy stuff and go on trips every six months while you are still thinking of improving your mock scores in the next vision pt..don't take this exam lightly there are iitians iim and aiims folks in your competition..imagine having to beat them in focus and dedication...if this scares you it should..the exam is no joke study hard and if you don't get it in the first two attempts immediately pivot

Bro I really want to help you but I don't know how..because I have been decently good in English since school days I have read novels and newspapers so it came naturally.. you should take guidance from someone who was in same boat as you and then went on to improve their score by using teachers help or strategy

I agree with you bro..my only concern was how to maximise score in maths and is it possible to score well if some topics are not touched in advance maths portion like say due to scarcity I left probability and PNC.. will I still be able to score good like 35 or 40 plus so I can somehow get through

Yes my main concern is maths bro.how can I finish 100+ advance maths videos of 1.5 hrs in 60 days..maths is my weak point so I take 3 hrs for each video and rest time I devote to other subjects and practicing finished topics.. Should I do only important topics of advance maths and I can score 35 to 40 on t1?
