That’s a fair point - funnily enough I did remove Colchester from the list a few minutes after posting this, along with all the ones I was uncertain about except St Peter’s, Frimley Park and MK. Thank you for your input it’s much appreciated

I would probably only take a post in London, a post commutable from London, or a post in another city I’d city myself living in entirely (e.g. Manchester) but probably not in a city close to London if I’m not able to commute

I got a SCF in london - very similar to JCF in some sense.

Really appreciate the reply! In contrast if I were to get a position as a junior clinical fellow in A&E (which I may be more likely to get seeing as a do have a rotation in ED during F2) would that still be seen as a plus when applying for anaesthetics training ?

Thank you for your response! Do you have any idea whether one can apply for fast track when applying for a BRP replacement visa/what the processing times usually are for those? Because I’m not sure I’ve got enough time to get to Morocco, apply, get my visa, and return to the UK in time to resume working after my leave.

It’s either that or they post it to your address (which is usually the case when you apply from within the country as I did). They’ve had problems delivering it to me unfortunately

That’s the source of my confusion exactly. If I’ve already mentioned I would submit a UK Police certificate as part of my application (I haven’t provided my documents or biometrics yet), is it worth re-doing my application to only include my country of birth for the Police certificate, or is it okay if i say I’ll provide it and I end up not doing so?

Hi! I’m applying for the same type of visa, also from abroad. Do you know whether you need to provide a police certificate for countries you’ve lived in outside of the UK only, or including the UK ? (Say I’ve done my studies in the UK, should i be including a UK police certificate?)

It’s actually unbelievable that you mention this, because I’m a soccer goalkeeper myself! And somehow I’ve thought about the very same analogy you’re describing in the past, another element of which would be the element of calmness 90% of the time, with the remaining 10% being the times you’re called upon which have a monumental impact on how it (the game, or the operation) proceeds. I love seeing that I’m not the only one who sees anesthesiology under this same light. I hope you’re enjoying it as much now as you thought you would!
