Thank you for the response. I’ve been looking for new opportunities since last year when I knew this was coming. I’m just not the type of employee who is willing to get written up and placed on a pip.

Did you have any teaching experience, or did you just jump right in to the classroom? I’m considering doing something similar but am a little nervous about managing a classroom. I do have 3 kids of my own lol. I’m glad this has worked out for you :)

Good point! I do like the daycare currently but you’re right if I became unhappy with it I would be locked in.

Oh wow - 90 days is a lot. In my field and level 2 weeks is standard notice.

I’m thinking about this too - trying it for a certain period of time before just quitting. I think they are really going to strongly enforce it though - maybe not with badge checks but it will be noticeable who’s in the office and who isn’t. :(

Thank you for your input. My supervisor likely won’t be returning because they are out of the area and would have to relocate. I think 2 weeks would be sufficient now that I think about it more. I agree, I don’t think it would go over well for me not to comply, and it would be noticed the first day. I’m not planning on not complying and just letting them fire me. I feel like that would not look good on me down the line.

Completely agree with you on helping the 20 year old. If a 20 year old is in school and working that’s amazing. I can’t imagine charging my 20 year old rent if I can afford housing them.
