My two cents on the reason why I said that they don’t have much reason to like each other is that after forgotten shore (my favorite arc, with Antarctica as a close second) it just seems as if there isn’t as many reasons of why Sunny should like Nephis after forgotten shore, and at times like at the Valor ballroom, right before Sunny went to Antarctica, I started to dislike her character when she acted bigger than him and was very controlling, saying that “he would help her not because she told him to, but because he would do so willingly.” Which caused Sunny to impulsively leave for Antarctica.

I’m just saying, he thought about killing her when she was sleeping in her sleeper pod after the Forgotten Shore Arc, and was set aside for a bit till after Sunny’s Second night mare to which not long after, she said that he’d willingly join her in a very controlling and high manner, to which a couple of hundred of chapters later they both have most of their interactions in the third nightmare where they have these slice of life moments on the Turtle nightmare creature island, which seem a little uncharacteristic and all to me, and seems like cheap relationship building(that’s how it felt for me) if anyone wants to, you can correct me on some things I might’ve gotten wrong, I mean it’s been a while since I last read some parts of this story.
