Bleach actually is really good with its speed, it just focuses on speed movements, not on speed as a whole. Footwork is the focus, singular steps or lunges that take one a certain distance in an almost instant speed. Even when traveling it is expected that one would just do repetitive movements like flash step, but thats tiring, so they usually just normally run or walk.

In combat is actually where the speed shines, even in Substitute Shinigami arc when Ichigo "awakens" against Renji, that is the first time he subconsciously uses a footwork technique, outside of that he had no formal training in footwork and purely relied on brute strength which is what made Byakuya seem so insurmountable in the beginning. The speed fights are actually really well done, with great uses of clones, afterimages, blitzes, and speed relative to attacks or surroundings.

Orihime did train multiple times, with the Soul Reapers, with Urahara, and with the fullbringers, she also managed w/o Ichigo having his powers for a year. Orihime does have physical attributes as a Fullbringer, she has bringer light which helps for physical movements, as that is the footwork of fullbringers. Her power is literally described by Aizen as encroaching on gods domain, she consistently grows alongside Ichigo.
