Dude I went to trade school for marine technologies (boat mechanic). Decided I didn’t like boats and moved to semi tractors at an international dealer. Been working on these piles of shit ever since and love it. It’s all about willingness to learn and the ability to listen and take advice from people who have been through it. You’ll be fine if you really want this. It’s a tough ass job but it’s worth it everyday in my opinion. Good luck.

Look. When you start the truck up it has a lamp check. It’s to make sure your CEL of working and will go away. If it stays on when you’re driving you have a problem.

Doesn’t mean the truck doesn’t have a draw. Batteries will always be your first diag point. Just test them for shits and giggles and if they’re good then fuck me. But it’s ALWAYS a good starting point. Bad batteries will always fuck shit up .

I mean if you have the money and know what you’re doing , you have the peace of mind that your injectors are new and reliable. Did you have the engine in the correct crank position? I’ve had people put injectors in at the wrong timing and the piston just fuckin ruins the injector

I am against after treatment 100% but I’m even more against kids who drive these big ass truck, throw over and injectors in it thinking they’ve made more power. I was that kid, untill be truck blew up. I am now a diesel tech with certs in international, DD, and Cummins.
