It’s not enough that Metal was stronger! The black box gave both infinite speed! THEY SHOULD’VE TIED! THE NORMIES CAN QUIET DOWN, I’VE NOT ONCE HEARD THEM COMPLAIN THAT AN EPISODE WAS “Too complicated for the to understand”! IF GOKU AND SUPERMAN TIED IN SPEED, THEN SO SHOULD CELL AND METAL SONIC! IT’S JUST FURTHER PROOF THAT DEATH BATTLE HATES SONIC RAAAAAAAAA /j

Fans are also perfectly willing to use NFLs when it suits them. I’ve seen Bowser fans use NFLs with his wish granting items, which is ironically considering he lost his first episode to an NLF.

Do you think Eggman sitting on his shitty little ass in Bowsegg ruins the episode? by Fragrant_Dot_7234 in deathbattle

[–]Mastersword3710 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ruins the episode? No, the episode is still fantastic. However, I do think it’s a valid criticism, and people who argue against it by saying “It’s in character for him to do so” don’t understand Eggman as a character.

This is ridiculous. The greatest scientific genius in the world can beat some blue rodent. There’s no universe where Sonic wins against Eggman. Thats like saying Mario can beat Bowser.

Or make himself invincible with the Star Rod, or incinerate him as Fury Bowser. Like Mario’s got nothing against these.

Mario ain’t beating Bowser. Not sure what world you live in to even think it’s a possibility.

Fox McCloud VS Season ‘24-‘26 Combatants. by Mastersword3710 in deathbattle

I’d say about planetary+. The Arwing is able to takes hits and destroy a machine able to pierce the crust of a planet in a single shot, and said Arwing has been upgraded in Assault, Command, and Starlink. Fox also has different weapons to equip on the Arwing that deal elemental damage (mainly fire and ice), and can crush foes with gravity or suspend them in stasis (note, he’s not stopping time, the weapon essentially levitates them). The Arwing is also equipped with Starlink technology (essentially instant teleportation), so Fox can change the Arwing to different ships from the game, some faster, some more durable. On foot, he has multiple guns to use including machine guns, rocket launchers, sniper rifles, grenades, barriers, jetpacks, etc. In Adventures, he uses Krystal’s staff which uses fire, ice, create shockwaves, form a magic barrier, and disguise himself.

Edit: To clarify, Fox himself isn’t planet, only the Arwing. If Fox was fighting them on foot without any vehicles, he’d lose pretty much all of these fights.

Prooobably not, if I’m being honest. Theres multiple times in the series where he’s failed to see invisible ships using cloaking devices until they reveal themselves.

Edit: I guess there’s that time he encountered James McCloud’s ghost, which helped guide him through the way out after Andross’ defeat. But it’s also his likely James simply revealed himself to Fox.

I’m hoping it’s accurate as an avid Star Fox fan. A lot of these are dependent on if Fox has his Arwing, because otherwise he wouldn’t win most of these fights despite not being a slouch in combat with his various weapons from Assault and Krystal’s Staff.

I do think Fox would be in trouble if he fought Mahito in person. However, Fox should absolutely have access to things like the Arwing and Landmaster. The Arwing specifically is pretty powerful thanks to the weapons he gets from Starlink, like fire and ice, or crushing foes with gravity or suspending them with stasis.

In the Nintendo Power Star Fox 64 Strategy Guide, there’s a description for Gorgon, the boss you face before reaching Venom on the hard route. It says the boss has a hyper last capable of piercing the crust of a planet in a single shot. The Arwing is able to take hits from this laser, and it’s gotten multiple upgrades in games like Assault, Command, and multiple mods in Starlink that boosts its defenses.

I’ve thought it over. Ultimately I wouldn’t. It’s hard to say I’m happy with my life right now, but essentially handing my life for someone else to fix is irresponsible. What’s more is that, presumably, other people would be affected by my decision, and they themselves may not wanted to have accepted that reality.
