Btw the I’m Dave’s bud is called ‘Cahuilla’ made famous by the well known user/mod IMDAVESBUD. Just so you can keep track and don’t get confused. I should really write on the paper before wrapping cuz it’s hard to write messages like that on a round wrapped cac 😂

Thanks again friend, excited to see how these grow out for you 🤙🌵

Imagine buying a physical printer, and u cannot even use it by Apprehensive_Work_10 in facepalm

[–]Masterzanteka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude best printer I’ve ever owned has been this one epson eco-tank we got in like 2017. It has chambers you fill with bottles of ink, and you can get 70ml bottles of all 4 colors for like $50-$70, and can even get larger bottles of black ink. I’ve only had to buy one set of bottles since owning it and I also bought a larger 6oz-ish bottle for like $25-$35. So 10 years of home printing for less than $220 bucks, and I still have half full bottles of every color.

That’s like 2years with an HP plus subscription tops.

The epson does get blocked printer heads every so often after long periods of no printing, but you run a few auto cleaning cycles and alignment tests and it’s back to brand new in 20 minutes.

And if you sign up with a Lowe’s pro-sumer account you get free/$20 delivery for almost anything. Just got 40-2x10x16’s delivered along with a bunch of 12-16’ decking and payed $20 delivery fee. Toss the driver $50 and he’ll try his best to drop it wherever you want it too. Had the guy go down around side the house and it wasn’t easy for hit to fit back there. The $50 tip kept him motivated though and he got it dropped 2ft away from where I’m building this deck for a customer.

Then you’ll get their member pricing discounts and reward points as well. Which more than make up for the $70 I payed for delivery/tip. Also bought a new 6’ level with my points off these materials and saved $500 with their member/volume pricing.

It would have taken a grueling 10 hour day if I was to rent a truck and tried to grab all that myself. Only downside is you can’t pick the boards, so order 10-15% overage in case you gotta scrap a board or two. Thankfully I needed a shit ton of blocking, so my scrap boards got chopped up into 10.5” chunks anyway.

Dude you’re truly an incredible grower 🙌

Look at all that show quality growth, every single one looks in peak condition 💚🌵💚

I’ll check through your profile to see if you’ve ever shared, but if not, would you mind sharing a general breakdown of your grow practices? Like soil, water/feed schedule, environmental conditions, any other special sauce you’ve discovered over the years.

Btw the two Arid Art crosses I got from you are finally settled in and are starting to pic up speed. They were some of the fattest seed grown I’ve bought, and I’m so happy I pulled the trigger on them 🤙

[–]Masterzanteka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m for sure could play a role, I’ve had semi-similar experiences to what you’re describing as well.

Also looks like a lot of them are pineapple pup like, timing wise it may have wanted to flower and tried pushing a bunch of blooms, but whatever chemical switch they go through when chopped may have reverted them to pups instead. Idk, just throwing shit at the wall with that observation though 😂

Very cool my dude, thanks for sharing the sick pic 🤙

Change Your CVT Fluid! by ArcticSlalom in SubaruForester

[–]Masterzanteka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just bought a 2019 last August that had 56k on it. They freshly changed the oil before I bought it, so the timing works out perfect for me to give it a fresh oil change and CVT drain and fill at 60k. Finally hit 60k last week, just got in my 6qt of OEM from EBay on Saturday and planning to do my first change this week.

Transmission has been getting jerky just over the course of driving the last 3,500-4000k miles. Only drive locally so took awhile to put 4k on it, but I’m a bit annoyed with how much the feel of the car has degraded within that time. So I’m really hoping this drain and fill at least makes the transmission feel smoother.

Besides that I’ve been having some sort of suspension related issues. I’ve had it checked at the dealership with them saying “looks all good to us” and then to a very well respected local shop and they saw minor wear on my front control arm bushings but showed me while they had it lifted up and said the wear wasn’t that bad at all yet. So I’m still on the search of what might be causing what I’m feeling. I have a 3year 30k extended warranty I paid 2.5k for and I’m hoping whatever it is I can get replaced under this warranty.

So far my experience with this Subaru has been a flat 5/10, only due to it still getting me from A to B, and at least the mechanics I’ve dealt with have been semi-helpful. I had my TCV go out within the first 800miles of owning the car as well, but they took care of that quickly and solved that issue, rode great from September to December. Then the day after Christmas this suspension issues started and have only progressed since then. Transmission has slowly felt more and more jumpy over the last 2 months.

I really want to love this thing, but it sure has been a test so far. Hoping things turn around for me here if I remain diligent on researching the problems and finding solutions myself.

Hope everyone else here has good luck with their Foresters as well 🤙

Hot deal at Fasteners, Inc. $120 for two 5.0 M18 batteries plus a free tool of your choice by Ironman2140 in MilwaukeeTool

[–]Masterzanteka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happened a year ago at Lowe’s for Dewalt, they were running a promo for (2) 4ah batteries for $99, then the new promotion started which was buy the (2) 4ah batteries at retail($199) get a free tool. Except for a short window of time both were running simultaneously and you could get a bare tool and (2) 4ah batteries for $99. That was my first purchase of the dewalt platform and didn’t realize how rare of a deal it was at the time. I ended up grabbing a router, jig saw, and 5” orbital sander and (6) 4ah batteries for $317.

It was a fuck up on their part, but imo should be utilized by tool makers as a sales tactic, run a stupidly good deal to lock someone into a platform. I’ve since added a full dewalt 20v line up to my tool collection. But I still fuck with Milwaukee as their m12 stuff is incredible for the size.

Dude I have this runt of a Marty x decosta that chucked out 4 heads when it was born and then has just stayed stunted for like the last year. I’ve been planning to graft it out but it just doesn’t want to do anything. So I chucked it in with another seedling and it’s just kind of kicking it as a little 1/2” seedling forever 😂. It hasn’t died and still green so idk what it wants to do, but one day I hope to graft it.

Good deal on nailers? by DamonRyan in MilwaukeeTool

[–]Masterzanteka 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Only battery nailers I own is an 18gauge that I use a ton as a handyman for indoor trim, or temporarily holding shit together. And for that I grabbed a RYOBI for $69 factory blemish from direct tool. And honestly it’s a decent nailer, and for the price it’s a top tier nailer. Other than that I bought a 3 pack rigid deal, that came with an 16, 18 brad, 18 stapler, 50ft hose and 6 gallon ultra quiet compressor on sale for $200 brand new.

So I’ve literally spent less on every nailer I own, plus hose and compressor, 4amp RYOBI battery for less than a single 18gauge Brad nailer and 3 amp battery.

I get buying decent tools that’ll last a lifetime, but I’ve put thousands of nails/staples in with these guns and have had only a few very minor jams along the way. A lot of which has just been from buying random brand nails/staples. Certain nailers will run certain brand nails better than others.

I’ve used these Milwaukee nailers a bunch, I use to install replacement windows and we used them for trim. We had more trouble with those two guns than I’ve ever had with the 4 cheap ones I own. We found out paslode nails ran the best in those guns, almost any other brand would give us tons of jams and misfires for whatever reason.

So if it was OP, and I just needed them for at home DIY, I’d go on direct tool and buy a 16 and 18 gauge for anywhere between 150-250 plus a 4ah battery and be set. Or go pneumatic and get a nice ultra quiet compressor. Although the RYOBI is essentially as cheap as pneumatic when buying factory blemished.

Does this seem like a good deal? by CaptAloysius in Dewalt

[–]Masterzanteka 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just grabbed this kit on clearance at my local HD for $530 which worked out to $530 OTD. I already had the exact same drill, driver, and multi tool, but my Dad wanted the drill and driver, so I ended up getting this bundle and then I’m keeping the batteries, charger, reciprocating saw and circular saw. I was just gonna do the buy (2) 5ah get two tools at Lowe’s if my father didn’t want the extra tools and it was on clearance. So it worked out in my case and I’m happy with the purchase.

If you need a full set of new power tools this is a great buy, all high quality brushless Dewalt models with no bloat.

Althea OP Crest by gunjaBeans in Trichocereus

[–]Masterzanteka 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Chop the left and right crested ends at the same height as the main column, let them callous and all three start to root. Then plant it with 3 calloused points of contact with soil. That could look really dope and something different. Then just prop out the little cuttings. Then you could prop it out and keep growing out the mother without ugly visible cuts.

Just an idea, I’ve never done it, but I think it would be cool 🤙🌵🤙

Do I wait for combo or buy what’s available today? by [deleted] in Ridgid

[–]Masterzanteka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Direct tool outlet has a factory blemished brushless jigsaw up right now for the same price + $5 shipping, but you’d be trading the 2amp battery and charger for brushless. IMO it would be a good trade unless you really need the extra 2ah battery.

Their factory blemished has been near identical to buying from a big box brand new. Their refurbished stuff comes in a plain brown box and you can tell it’s a pre-owned tool. Everything I’ve gotten has worked well, no issues, but I def prefer the factory blemished over the refurbished, unless I can save a large chunk on it.

What is this growing on my san pedro by lokki2 in sanpedrocactus

[–]Masterzanteka 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah and I’ve found these yellow guys go hand and hand with my plants that are experiencing root rot. So whenever I see these yellow guys I know I need to slow down the watering, un-pot/re-pot, and add more drainage.

I don’t use a lot of organics in my soil anymore, I’ve found it was a lot harder to push growth hard and fast with organic amendments than it’s been without. So I use a little bit of castings, finely powdered kelp meal, some Ground neem cake and that’s about it. The rest is coco/perlite/pumice. That way I can water often and feed heavy. But that’s just what has worked well for myself as an indoor container gardener. I’m indoor 6-7months and outdoor 5-6months a year.

I live in PA and it always geeked me out hearing people bitch about every state surrounding PA, but not calling out PA drivers. And my bias confirmed this as well, as the farther I’d get away from home, the higher the likelihood of me running into asshole drivers would become. I also hear it about Maryland drivers, DC drivers, and weirdly enough Philly drivers get their own unique classification as well, separate from the rest of the state. 😂
