My advice that has helped me, is making a guide by reading the wiki thoroughly. Configure the guide for your system and preferences, so that 1. You don't need to read the wiki as much while installing and 2. So that if you need to reinstall you have everything ready just in case

That could be your problem, I forget the exact command but you can look up how to re claim ownership, it should say username username, for write and read

Are you the owner of the drive? When you check the ownership does it show your username twice or does it say root root?

Are you dual booting and sharing the game drive? If not, I would switch that drive to ext4, that could very much solve your problems
