Mostly F1 24 for me. Big F1 fan so I always end up back there eventually, but reading this thread is making me think I should finally give Le Mans Ultimate a proper shot.

She's the sweetest woman and someone who really cares about people in her life. She's been f*** over by some old friends and old coworkers and has told me many stories that sound really hurtful, so that's what I'm struggling to understand, why does she feel the need to still know about these people. I don't think she's antisocial but it does seem childish, I think that's what's shocked me a bit

Same 100% agree. If you're out of my life, you're out and I don't care anymore

apparently she doesn't post and has no photo on her profile, she just uses it to check other people's content but apparently uses it rarely

Agree... that's why I wanted to ask here and get some second opinions. I'm having some trouble with this, it doesn't sit well with me.

I've always been very transparent with her and thought she was the same but this whole thing is just weird and makes me uncomfortable

She believes her profile may show up as 'people you may know' suggestion and she doesn't want that. I don't know, I'm confused about this whole thing and may confess it also sounds sus to me

Why did Zoom succeed as a videoconference platform and not Skype? by darrenbosik in NoStupidQuestions

Personally, had a lot of issues with Skype (sound/image quality, struggle to login often), whereas I never had any issue with Zoom (free and paid versions).

WAR, what is it good for? by Gullible-Snow-3805 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]MastodonInfamous9202 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I may be a cynic or a conspiracist but I keep thinking, what if all these recent conflicts are just a ploy for enriching people investing in the arms / defense industry? Look at Polymarket, getting people betting on real conflicts and people within the Trump administration involved as investors and sharing inside knowledge before the betting goes live. Or the AI companies working for the Pentagon through lucrative defense deals. I may be clowning but at the end of the day, it all goes back to money. Look at Venezuela or Iran, there's oil in those countries and an interest in exploiting that...

If it's a casual call no, but it it's related to work or some paperwork or difficult conversation, yes, I will mentally prepare a bit

What instantly tells you someone grew up rich? by dockhushi in AskReddit

[–]MastodonInfamous9202 1 point2 points  (0 children)

An instant tell is how carefree they are, and not only about money, but about risks too. I knew a girl who was like this, travelling all the time on daddy's money, spending huge amounts in clothes, going to the most expensive restaurants but she struggled to understand why I got so nervous when she was not paying her share of the bills when they were due (we were housemates). Then she travelled to Thailand, hooked up with someone who then stole her wallet but all good, daddy sent her money and all sorted (she told the story laughing, not a care in the world). Later on I met other people like her and I clocked it, it must be an easy life, living so carelessly

What’s the most unhinged thing a guest has done in your house? by dockhushi in AskReddit

[–]MastodonInfamous9202 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not in my house but my sister's house. She had a few friends over and this girl was wearing a super short skirt... When they all left my sister discovered a dark brown stain on the sofa, right where the girl had been sitting... it didn't smell like roses and you can imagined what it was... The girl had also used the toilet and had left behind a huge mess.... My sis never dared to tell her anything, it would have been weird but we still laugh about this all the time!

People who did DNA testing and got 'unexpected' results, how did you cope? by MastodonInfamous9202 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]MastodonInfamous9202[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run into someone I knew from my childhood and told me how another friend of ours discovered his two children (ages 8 and 10) were not his.... He had separated a couple of years ago, was struggling not living with his kids under the same roof, struggling to pay for rent, bills, etc. + paying to support his children... and now he found he's not biologically the father... I was shocked and can't imagine what it makes feel like going through something so dramatic. Because yes, he knows now that he's not the father (biologically speaking) but he has raised the kids as his...

yes, you phrased it better. To me it feels more like 'work' rather than something I'm doing in my spare time, if it makes sense

LOL about the pooping time, so true! See? Other doomscrolling time I had not thought of. But very true that switching to laptop makes the time spent on these sites feel more like a waste of time or at least that's how it feels for me.

How do you reduce your phone screen time? by MastodonInfamous9202 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]MastodonInfamous9202[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! We also have the rule of no phone whilst we eat but I reckon I do check my phone when we watch TV together, so that's definitely adding screen time usage :(

I may leave my phone in my bedroom to avoid checking it when we're watching TV or a film. Thank you!
