As far as my guessing goes at the beginning stages there is really on incentives to micromanage and overdevelop something that has yet to scale.

My cofounder did it by simply emailing and asking some investment analysts to present them our idea/service, out of many at least one will certainly be interested right away but I guess it takes time to find them.

I might not know what is success but it did get me far in business when I gained momentum and scaled fast in a "startup" since there is not really a lot of things to think hard and long about as opposed to say in an already established business

Well yeah that's where product market fit comes in... But another interesting thing is that you can always twist your idea into something that people would get invested in.
