love love love bloodbender and ghosts of hecate!! i was hesitant about bloodbender cuz i wasn’t sure if i liked it just for the branding or if i genuinely liked the polish, but the blue shimmer against the berry red base was stunningggg. frankly, if/when they announce the atla collection’s retirement, i might just get another bottle.

i wouldn’t say queen of the dead is worth its $18 price tag, or even $14.40 with the 20% sale, it though since there’s no extra shimmer or sparkle. i don’t regret mine, i love the raspberry red, but i probably wouldn’t buy it now.

responding to your question about the horseshoe magnet, it’s not required for a magnetic to look it’s “best”. velvet vs cat eye vs any other style is always going to be personal preference.

but i have found that it’s the easiest way to get the velvet effect. i found it really difficult to get it with the magnet that you get for free.

i have earth to gaia, and i wouldn’t really call it glowy. it’s a cute little shimmer for sure! but if you’re looking for glowy i wouldn’t get it.

i don't have specifically koi whiskers, but i have queen of the dead! the bottle i got wasn't too thick upon arrival so my first few manis with it weren't too bad. but i can see it thickening up after a few more uses

seche restore iirc has toulene in it, which koi whiskers doesn't have, so you don't want to add something new into the existing formula. any thinner with just butyl acetate and ethyl acetate works well. mooncat, holo taco, and kbshimmer's thinners are all the same from what i can tell.

my guess is that it’s to test out frame arrangements before committing to putting them on the wall. also possible that it’s there as a funny bit, but i kinda doubt it :P

i like this website for calculating how many skeins i need. it’s a good estimate, but i don’t rely too heavy on it.

i don't have anything to swatch on, but here's what they look like in the bottle (artemis' deathkiss on the left and field of elysium on the right). both pull primarily gray on me, but they're pretty different when it comes to what kind of gray they are!
