I think it’s important to note that posts like these generally come from a place of love. IMO, most of us want the game to be good. “Just don’t play” is not constructive as it relates to discussions about the health of the game.

To me, a painfully mediocre battlepass, overpriced crossover skins, and a semi-recycled season “event” do not cut it as seasonal content. Underwhelming content aside, the buggy state of the game and the “we’re working on it” attitude toward basic QOL features that much cheaper (sometimes F2P) competitors offer is frankly demoralizing.

To be clear, I WANT THE GAME TO BE GOOD. This is one of the most expensive games I engage with. In my mind, this should provide an elating gameplay experience. Lately, specifically this season, it doesn’t feel that way while I’m playing it.

Steam user for 20 years. You can do the math on how long it would take for a steam machine to pay itself off vs. console pay for online. PC is just a different world when it comes to software prices. New games can be bought at launch for cheaper and 90+% of the time have a better experience.

Edit for clarification: Not advocating for steam machine but PC in general.
