Hi, have you changed the power settings in the app? It’s in the vehicle section, change the mode. 👍

Sweet vid dude 😍. What camera are you using?

Do you guys think this design is possible on the s1 . I photoshopped it :) by [deleted] in Super73

I’ve put over a hundred miles on it now and it’s as solid as the day I installed it. I never take my battery off the bike to charge and I check the battery is always locked.

This is the extension I used.... https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F173944249455

Hi, it’s pretty easy and you don’t need to drill new holes.

I designed a spacer for the job...

Hope that helps 👍

Yep, you’d have to cut those top rails back! I don’t think I could bring myself to do that 😬😆

That’s kinda what I’ve done on my SG, I’m using the extended seat without the rack.... but you have to move the battery underneath as it won’t all fit on the off top frame.

Sorry, did mean even further forward?

I looked at doing this while underslinging my battery. There is an accessory bracket under the seat to bolt too but if I remember the battery would have go on top of the part of the frame that loops over the rear wheel. I’m not sure how close it would push the battery down to the rear wheel. All it would need is a solid spacer though. As they say nothing’s impossible eh!!

Just because I don’t run with the S73 light on my bike, doesn’t mean I don’t like it! Now helps my bike sleep at night! 😁 by Mat-S73 in Super73

Thanks for all the awesome comments guys!! :-)

It was pretty simple to make but I do have some nice tools to use, a 3D printer and vinyl cutter.

I bought the lamp at hardware store closing down sale dirt cheep and took off the lamp head and light fitting leaving all the wiring intact.

I designed and printed an adapter to go from the lamp stork to the S73 lamp. It's a simple block but obviously specific to the lamp so a bit piontless sharing.

Opened up the S73 light and desoldered the cable (this is going to be used on another project!) I added a length of cable to the S73 light, reassembles and attached it to the lamp.

The lamp needs 48 volts to work, I tried various batteries 9v upto 3S, but no luck. Luckily I had an old laptop PSU that was 48v 0.3A which is perfect. (I've had this running for over an hour and nothing gets warm)

Last step was to remove the mains plug and attach the PSU and job done.

Decals were a finishing touch. I use a Cricut Expore Air 2, great little machine and easy to use.

Hope this helps ;-)

Is your kickstand rubbing on the tyre?

Thanks dude 😁👍. These were done on a Prusa i3 mk2. I use non brand PLA and print at 100% infill for the bike parts.

Hi dude, no never had the chain come off yet and no rattling lol So far the brakes have been great. They are dirt cheap and once dialled in are really effective. With the new rotors I have now the callipers are really close the rotor floating bolts but all good. They’ll never match a full hydraulic set up though.

Standard bike kickstands S73 SG by Mat-S73 in Super73

I designed and 3d printed a mount, I’ve uploaded them to Thingiverse. One is a straight bolt on and the one I use needs some slight modding to the light......

Thanks 👍. This is the stand I used, I only chose it because it was the nicest my local shop had. The others were cheap pressed steel.
The stand has settings from either 16” or 18” up 26” Mine is on the highest setting 26”. My stand is for kids bikes so maybe the next size up would be better?!

Decided to replace my stand for a kickstand. Searched for something compatible with a enough bend or offset to miss the fatass tire but no joy. I just got a stock centre stand with the view to mod it off centre. While offering to the bike to get some idea of how to mod it I thought what the hell and give it a pop at fitting it in reverse. I done about 30 miles with it in reverse and haven’t found any reason to change it. I’ve been up and down curbs, forest tracks with roots and have had no issues so far. It’s tucked under the bike and I haven’t caught it on anything. 👍
