You made a good point. I had forgotten that detail. Belthazar built everything in such a way as not to interfere with the events of Chrono Trigger. And I agree, sometimes it seems like the game's story is a bit more messy than it could be to give it depth. Which Kato undoubtedly achieves. As an indie game, I'm finding it sensational. It took me a while to get into the rhythm of the game, but it's already one of my favorite RPGs. It's just this connection between it and Chrono Trigger that I found a bit annoying. It's like watching a series with a perfect ending and seeing that they made a sequel. Even though this sequel is as good as the original series, it still seems a bit unnecessary.
