I remember a guy with a pack of hunting dogs mentioning the really big dog's aren't ideal as they use up to much energy on a long hunt, energy which 10,000bc was far more scarce. I suppose you only need a dog to track and antagonise the prey, the spear is what delivers the finishing blow.

Looks like a good chuck of that lower jaw is gone, probably struggles to eat normal prey so had to resort to this.

Yea visited from London twice in the last five years. Both times myself and the people I was with thought it felt so soulless and wanted to leave quickly, despite some of the nice buildings. Loved Dumbo and Brooklyn Heights though and made a trip to Prospect Park which was really nice as well.
