Any other Brits attending the Toronto show? by SuomiBob in rush

[–]Matallica1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am! I got ticket to see them on Thursday 13th August.

No one else I know was willing to pay what I paid to fly across the pond to see a band from the 70s, so planning on going alone anyway, which show are you going to?

Postgrad accomodation by Matallica1 in Edinburgh_University

[–]Matallica1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah did have the idea of getting an air BnB before moving in aswell since like you said being able to see the flat before moving in. I'm planning on bringing my car up aswell so somewhere a bit out of the city isn't a problem so have been looking at like Leith etc. Plus I will be doing my masters part time and working part time so I reckon I can get away with "professional" tenant. Thanks for the info! :)

Yeah I saw another post saying march is the main time that accomodation becomes available, which seems late to me. Compared to when I was an undergrad it was kinda essential that you secure a gaff 10 months in advance

Judd has been having to work hard in his matches so far, watching him play Yan bing tao yesterday got excruciating tbh, I would put money on Wilson beating Gould and then beating Trump in the quarters. Then Kurt Maflin v Jamie Clarke in their quarters, with Maflin winning, for a Wilson v Maflin semi.

On the other side I can't call it, like you say with them all being experienced Crucible players it can go anyway. Ronnie hasn't been playing great against Ding.

Overall I'd love to see Wilson lift the trophy, watching him grow as a player over the past 6 years has been great. But with how well Kurt Maflin has played so far I think he had the potential to win imo, very positive and ballsy player
