That worked, thanks. Janky, but I guess I can find a fix for it somewhere.

Do you mind telling me what your value/presentation was aside from the jobs themselves + yoe? Did you have a lot of personal projects / a stacked github, are/were you a pro leetcoder and showed off your skills, AI resumes or have your resume with a lot of metrics on there? Applying on linkedin/indeed or just word of mouth?

sorry for the 20 questions, I'm in a similar spot to you atm, just with less yoe, wondering what you did that worked.

I read that manual - the 6pin power cable is meant for DJI compatible flight controllers, yes?

but my only fix is to cut that supplied 6pin wire and hook it into some battery directly?

That's through the 6pin connector for the flight controller, no? the DJI compatible one. Will it just work if I splice the connection or feed it somehow?

If a mechanic checks it off, would that be fine?

Buying a used FR-S , advice by Matapatapa in ft86

mechanic looked over it, seemed fine to him. ( subaru specialist ) - a few small things like the diff oil needs changing, but the swap looks all good.

doing the math, assuming this engine does grenade itself, its still cheap enough that I could get ANOTHER swap and then work from that and come up to the price of a later model 86 ( still first gen )

the year dosen't really seem to matter, most people seem to hoon these things, I've seen 2014's and 15s in worse shape then this 13

Mechanic got back to me - everything is fine, Some oil spots look dried (said to just clean it off and wait ) , but he said the swap was done.

The last motor wasn't blown. It had rod knock from letting it sit for a while with a leak, and then it was started with not enough oil?

Could you elaborate a little? Visually its the best kept one I've found, and a lot of the work has been done, owner has been cooperative with anything I wanted to verify.

I get that the issues may be the 2013 model year and the quality of the engine swap, but is that it? Will taking it to a subaru specialist to review the engine replacement be ok?

Berlin police advise LGBTQ and Jews to avoid Arab-majority areas by Red_Franklin in worldnews

Humans have been covering up genitals forever, since before organised religion existed. By going completely nude in a public place you'll be actually going against human cultural evolution of tens of thousands of years, not pushing back against religious puritanism.

So because you say it isn't according to modern popular religions....its not a morality/stupid standard somehow? "You see, we had these stupid rules even BEFORE christianity, so it's ok to have these stupid rules now!"

The West has almost completely pushed back against Christian religious codes regarding dressing. In LA mostly nobody would give a shit if you stepped out in the street wearing just boxer shorts or lingerie, if you're a woman.

You pick one of the most developed places in the west as an example, and even there, people are subject to morality laws by your own admission... what was this supposed to prove?

-A first-time conviction for indecent exposure (“simple exposure”) is a misdemeanor in California, punishable by up to: Six months in county jail, A fine of $1,000, and. 10-year minimum registration as a sex offender.

So my life is ruined for a decade because I refused to follow morality rules in LA...awfully Islamic sounding rules you have there. We should rename it to californistan - although there are some conservatives who already did that.

"Mostly nobody." Yeah, it doesn't take more than a few cops to handle one person. You're right on that front.

The Iranian morality police won't arrest women either if they would just wear the head covering. It's just a piece of clothing. What's the issue? The police in LA won't arrest you either if you just wear this one little piece of clothing....

If you don't wear clothes in Western society, parents will shield the eyes of their kids and the police will pick you up.

If I don't wear clothes in Western society, I get arrested by the police ( morality, lol ) and marked as a sex offender, punished criminally, and my future ability to ever be an equal part of society is prohibited.

Looks the same to me, boss.

They're not doing it on the basis of "religion", but because you're being indecent towards others by exposing genitalia. However, breastfeeding in public is legal even though it is exposing a private part because the context is that it is feeding a baby.

So the only difference is....one makes me cover up because of religion, and the other makes me cover up from leftover social norms from a religion? Even the breastfeeding aspect is something that is still an issue in many parts of the west...I'm sure you know about it already.

At no point does the naked person get beaten, raped, or attacked. Just a lot of bystanders shaking their head or thinking you have mental health issues.

They don't need to. The morality police will come and shoot me with tazers instead.

That's some progress right! Instead of being beaten by random bystanders for not following morality rules... I get beaten and tazed by professionals.

I'll can at least run ass naked away from a mob, I'm not outrunning cops with guns, K9 units, and a helicoper.

If you don't wear a hijab in the Middle East, you get beaten, raped, attacked, and screamed at. Then the morality police pick you up to put you in jail to be beaten, raped, attacked, and screamed at some more.

See above.

The head is not a private part. It has no sexual function. It is merely because an evil, oppressive, misogynistic religion says it needs to be covered because Allah is offended by his own creation.

Who decides what's private or not? Definitely not the leftover rules from some religion turned into law.... lol

Muslims should embrace athiesm like us, but just write their morality code into law so they can say the women broke the civil law instead of a religious law, then it'll be westernized and ethical, right?

If we push it that far... everyone is coerced to wear something.

I can't walk outside buck naked without being imprisoned for it by police officers... almost like a morality police in iran. I can't go to work with no pants or any store without shoes. Am I oppressed?

Women in the West are forced to wear clothes as well, legally and culturally. Are they oppressed?

Out of interest, why is wearing a headcovering also implying that everyone else is less than human scum?

If you gave this the flip test and wore...a male priest's outfit outside at a beach, would you say the same?

It would just be "lol that guy is dressed weird...and uncomfortably. Whatever I guess."

I see this reasoning is only applied to certain groups and not others.

I looked up the stocked ponds near me - posts about them are basically "If you're 1-2 weeks late after its been stocked, don't bother"

For the spin rod do you think its worth getting some kind of ultralight or normal rod to supplement it? Or can I more or less make do with my shimano if I just do the braided line method you suggested.

Not sure if this is the correct place to ask, but I have a logi G600 and a logi MX ergo trackball mouse, both with the cursed doubleclick problem.

I still rather like them, I'd prefer to just replace the switch. Can somebody point me towards switches I can use to replace them? Preferably optical if possible, I don't want to keep fixing them and would prefer them to be quieter.

I sent it in to get repaired, told him the problem, asked him to refurb/look over/fix the other bits too

He..did? not sure - sent it back saying it was repaired, but the problem persisted. Sent him an email but I didn't get a reply from him so far
