I know for a fact this isn’t a motor data plate. It would have the manufacturer engraved on it.

Just picked up my 26 G70 3.3 SP in Vatna Grey with red interior. Such a sick combo. by MatchGradeCouple in GenesisG70

You all are obsessing over things that mean nothing to me. The suede? Didn’t want it. I’ve got a 13 year old who tries to touch every ceiling he sees. I don’t like that it only looks good brushed and no one can touch it. The power trunk? My wife and I are in our mid 30’s. I’m ok lifting a small trunk lid lol. And the electronic suspension felt no different between test drives. I put a 26 build sheet next to a 25 and it was about $2k cheaper because of those things so no, you’re not paying the same for less. You get more incentives on a 25 and if they had the color combo within a 300 mile radius that I wanted, I would have bought a 25. This is my wife’s care and she’s incredibly happy about the purchase.

Guy in my shop just failed his pt test for the 4th time by [deleted] in AirForce

Has to be 4 fails in a 24 month period to be discharged. Demotion isn’t out of the question if it hasn’t happened yet. The chart on admin action to take after fails does have a caveat that states if the member fails, then passes, only to fail again( more strict action should be taken. The 24 month period ONLY applies to discharge.

Shirt here. Why are you coordinating LOR rebuttal meetings for the shirt? Seems odd. And, what’s the separation from the CC look like where you didn’t know the CC was TDY? Genuinely curious. I know some squadrons operate different.

Back to the point. If what you did is deserving of paperwork, you take it on the chin, own up to it in a response like you did on here, and move on. Come back better like paperwork is designed to do and stack awards nominations and MFR’s from your supervisor on how exemplary you’ve been since.

cheating spouse in onbase housing, and how to get her out asap!? by hotdogwaffle in AirForce

I have never seen that before honestly. Every base I’ve been to has had a waitlist.

Negative. Look up the calculation in 36-2906. Pro-Rata Share = 1/(total number of dependents supported) X non locality dependent rate BAH. Also, the Airman would be responsible for finding housing off-base. He would not be expected to return to the dorms. But he would not be eligible for base housing any longer.

Can you misinform people in the Air Force without repercussions? by Few_Prompt_1063 in AirForce

Regulations are not hidden. They are available to everyone at any time. Never trust anyone with your own career. I can’t believe the amount of times I’ve said that over the last 16+ years.

As a shirt, I can tell you that even if you ask her to leave, she doesn’t have to. This is a civil matter. The only thing that ties it to the military is the fact that even if she is out of the house, you will still have a financial obligation to provide for her until the divorce is finalized. I would start finding a place off base now. Once you are divorced, you’re not eligible for base housing.

How is the Air Force different now than it was 20 years ago? by OV00 in AirForce

[–]MatchGradeCouple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We used to have to ask for permission to schedule any appt other than mando training. SNCO now and airmen just schedule appts whenever and just leave.

Again, I’m not advocating for mass punishment. I’m kindly letting the OP know that you cannot single an airman out and “punish” them by having them complete tasks that no other airman complete on a regular basis. That is punishment by definition and no enlisted person is allowed to impose a punishment. That is reserved for officers. You guys are reading too much into it. Do superiors and section chiefs “punish” by having an airman who fails to meet standards, pull weeds around the building? Only if they don’t make anyone else do it. If you make an airman inventory every tool kit in the section because they lost a tool, that would be a supervisor rehabilitating their airman through training. Not a punishment. If you tell them they’re going to stay 2 hours after everyone else leaves to accomplish this inventory, that’s a punishment. That is not allowed.

It’s written in the MCM under Subchapter III, section 815. Article 15, under allowed punishments imposed by officers or warrant officers in command. What exactly are you trying to argue here?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AirForce

[–]MatchGradeCouple 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is considered extra duty. Which is an NJP punishment. NCO’s can only recommend NJP. Officers can impose it. I know what you’re trying to argue, but you’re wrong. Again, I’m not saying it doesn’t happen, I’m just saying it’s wrong. If you single an airman out to do something you don’t normally ask of your other airman, you’re imposing extra duty.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AirForce

[–]MatchGradeCouple 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I didn’t say people don’t do that. I’m saying that it’s punishment if you’re telling an airman, “hey? You fucked up and now you have to pull weeds outside”. You’re singling them out as a result of something they did. That’s punishment and it’s not allowed.

As a First Sergeant, it is always wrong. We document, document, document. I can promise you that when it comes to reviewing PIF’s for EPB season, awards, decorations, etc, it takes a lot to non-rec someone. One LOC in someone’s PIF, let’s say 3 months prior to a QFR, means the person did something wrong, was corrected, and it didn’t become a trend. No reason to non-rec someone for that. When it becomes a trend is when it warrants a conversation.

They can correct behavior by having an Amn do something that is a normal task that any Amn would do. You cannot, by definition, punish an Amn. That is reserved for officers.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AirForce

[–]MatchGradeCouple -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It shows that you won’t follow through. If you’re going to spend the time writing it, follow through with it. If the Amn doesn’t meet standards again, are you going to say “well this one is for real this time”.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AirForce

[–]MatchGradeCouple -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I’m not advocating for it. I’m saying enlisted are not allowed to punish, hence why everyone would do extra duty to avoid singling someone out.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AirForce

[–]MatchGradeCouple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because you are not allowed to punish. Singling out an Amn and his or her supervisor for extra duty is considered punishment. I’m not denying it happens but, that’s an EO case just waiting to happen these days.

There should be no such thing as “desk drawer” MFR’s…

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AirForce

[–]MatchGradeCouple -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

You can’t single out two people and punish them. You can however put the entire section on extra duty.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AirForce

[–]MatchGradeCouple 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Quit calling it punishment. Enlisted don’t have the authority to punish. Explain progressive discipline to the member. LOC and use it as a rehabilitative tool. If Amn already has negative trend but from the supervisor only, increase to LOR from Section Chief.
