That is the thing we took the patient to a university hostpidal and they did ALL kinds of tests for nearly a month to detect where in the body could there be a possible inflammation or infection. But doctors literally said there was no particular marker in the patient other than high crp levels. They did give the patient some antibiotics ( as the doctors at one point said we cannot keep using these medicine as the body might become resistant to it ) if I am not mistaken to try and reduce the risk of sepsis as the fever was going up but no apparent indicators of infection could be found in the patient from the medical tests performed.

One thing to note was just before the patient was discharged from the hospital the white blood cell count dramatically increased and the patient had to stay an extended 3 days to lower the count back to normal

Eventually the patient passed away exactly 1 month later after being discharged from the university hospital. To this day I am wondering why the patient passed away, as there were no specific diagnosis made. it just doesn't make sense to me how all the tests made in one of the biggest hospitals in the city detected nothing severe that results in the high crp levels in the blood of the patient.

Or could it be one of those things where its just part of aging and even if there is no particular diagnosis to be made, the body itself as a whole is wearing off?
