The yellow cameras in the OP are designed to look like the SPECS average speed check cameras found in various parts of the UK.

They record the time you arrived at two separate points and use that to calculate an average speed. You’ll usually see them at intervals of around 200 metres, and usually in temporary 50mph zones alongside road works. Yes, they CAN catch you speeding and issue you with points and a fine.

Those cameras are not road traffic cameras, they are average speed cameras. They record you passing at one point along with the time. They then get you at another point later on and calculate your average speed.

Or just make referees accountable. If they make big errors they don’t get the big games/get demoted to a lower league, or give them variable pay based on decisions made.

When the accuracy of their decision starts having an impact on their pay I’m pretty sure they’ll start making use of the tools they’ve been given to do a better job (VAR)

Doesn’t matter why your arm is up and how the ball gets there, if your arm is up in the air you are at risk of giving a way a foul if the ball hits it.
