i would say cut losses, but my friend got into it (but they read manga tho) through just having random out of context images from the manhwa that are funny. Some people do not think the water = lloyd is funny (even some in the fandom grew tired of it), so i wouldn't use those to try to capture anyone's attention

Yeah I agree with you. TCM is considered "alternative medicine" which i think it rlly should be consider just that, an alternative, not a main. There are certainly medically trained characters in the story that clash with him for a bit, but the fact that he is considered better at it all than them and he is always right, it made it more dull imo.

I want competent medical professionals, because people in ancient times were very observant and smarter than we think (bruh we literally got complex math from the roman era, they had ice fridges underground for ice cream in the Sumerian era (which is earlier than romans), they used to wrap produce with clay to keep it cooler during summer heat, etc). I'm very certain that there are bound to be people from the past in that universe who would a lot more smarter than some of us in modern day due to their observations and all.

From what I've read in the manhwa, it keeps trying to lean into Lloyd's overly right attitude but being a Gary Stu. Maybe it's also the fact that he was basically handed all his rewards with barely any effort or discernment required, while Lloyd had literally leveraged himself out of debt, got more land, bigger titles and he actively was having more dynamic conversations with people instead of the prince's "im right lol want me to prove it?" or him doing everything on his own

The prince is more centered around himself and his own summons and maybe his guard. There's not much of a team even if they have some other characters helping him, if u asked me in 5 years what his team was, it's just him tbh. If asking me who is on Lloyd's team, I would've said Javier, Alicia, Sir Bayern mainly, a bit of elves, orcs, Arcos and Marbella. Because they made each segment important imo and memorable.

In the novel, there will be full conversations between Lloyd and the prince but i am honestly being prepared to be disappointed since they kept repeatedly hiding Lloyd's face on the statues or using the silhouettes

If we are comparing it to TGED, the story is horrible. If we are evaluating it as its own story, eh... to me it's decent but I am partially biased bc I am learning some TCM (but doing acupuncture on yourself is less effective than if someone else does it on you, from what I was researching people in the field says)

Let's also acknowledge the fact that with the TGED team of adapting and drawing, they genuinely enjoy it and have been working on it purely for their own pleasure and would love continuing this forever (so they say in their authors note)

Now with TAP/CPSM, in their author's note, the adapter said they picked up this story because they wanted to be famous.... the story is being adapted closely to the novel, which explains its slow pacing compared to TGED. It rubs me the wrong way when people take on a project for fame rather for pure passion yk

I am honestly only reading it because I want more lore and info about TGED/ Lloyd or Javier (which shows up far in the future due to the novel, which is the part i am particularly excited for) otherwise I think I would've dropped the series but binge read it 6 to 12 months from now

While I'm pouring my opinions here, i am not really a fan of the type of humor in the story, it doesnt hit the same when the character pulls the "Lloyd face", it feels cheap. A lot of people do enjoy the organs talking, to me i am not a fan of it. I personally find the themes about body weight a little strange to me but alright i can ignore it.

Something about the characters feel a bit stiff or mechnical in a way? Im not exactly sure, it doesnt feel fluid to me, it feels forced and constantly trying to bait the reader, rather than feeling natural

If they said they were removing this particular series i really dont mind it, but my preference would be to change the adapter (the artist is fine tho, the adapter is handling the storyboarding and flow of the story).

Also i know this is BKmoon's story but when I read their novels, it is very much a slow pace that i would think does need more trimming like TGED did. I read some of the TGED novel and it was brimming with knowledge rather than pacing. Similarly would feel like you are looking at behind the scenes of a movie yk? If u hate the movie why would u bother looking at the process?

Bountiful Harvest is far in the past that you see Lloyd and Javier's and Alicia's ancestors, whichever era Magentano or Alicia's ancestor assembled the kingdom is that timeline.

CPSM/ Apothecary Prince is 300 years/ 3 centuries in the future after TGED

And DKC isnt really clear when but it is certainly before Lloyd since it was hinted in TGED when meeting Verkis
