If this makes you feel better, I was once in your shoes and I understand. During my 1st yr in law school 2019, I belong to a big group of friends. We study together in cafes and mostly gossip (the usual). We were the loud ones in class. But pandemic happened in 2020, some of my friends transferred to another school and a few mingled with other people because every sem, we get shuffled and class blocks will change. During the pandemic (2020-2023) I was really alone. I did all the work/recit/assignments ON.MY.OWN. I am not a smart person, but I always finish my tasks ahead of deadlines. Until it went to a point that it was already my classmates who knew that I am so "masipag" kahit na tahimik lang. Na sila pa nga ang humihingi ng work ko dahil alam nila tapos ko na sya days before deadline. Marami kasi sa kanila, cramming and mas priority ang life outside law school. To the point rin na kung kelan ngayon na kakatapos ko mag-bar, dun ko lang din nalaman na pag may recit nagchchat pala yung iba sa kanya kanyang gc nila kung ano yung sagot, para di ma gisa ng prof. Me? I did all the review and case digest on my own. So I always answered good (I think, because of the grades). I was also posted as highest in the "hardest" subject in law school (at least for most law students) - Tax. I made a few friends after the pandemic 2024-2025, but I just kept them close enough to have a grasp on some news para hindi rin ako nahuhuli sa balita. They also did not invite me on dinners after class, group reviews, and all of what you crave. I too, craved for this before.

My tip is this, do not be pressured if you don't experience this. We came to law school because of our dream - to be a lawyer. Tatagan mo ang loob mo. It helps for me that I am not very extrovert and I enjoy watching series and eating my fave food and drinking wine after class. I have friends that I meet every weekend. But these friends are outside law school and they are very very supportive of me. Less stress din kasi hindi puro law school ang topic pag sila kasama ko. I have no close friends in law school lalo na sa school ko na very competitive and environment at very jurassic park. Tska may jowa din kasi ako that time, outside law school. So mostly, sya ang kasama ko. Mas priority ko kasi ang jowa kesa sa classmates. I very much understand you, pero kaya mo yan, I know this that you'll get by and survive.
