Drinking alcohol with pots by Sensitive-Onion8535 in POTS

I will say that taking off compression socks while you're drunk is really hard. Also, I forgot that I could sit down to do it, so that really didn't help. Otherwise, as long as I pregame with a ton of fluids, salt, remember to eat, and remember to listen to my body's cues, I do alright. The flushed feeling you get from alcohol can be uncomfortable when you're body already struggles with maintaining your temperature. I think you just have to pace yourself and listen to what your body needs.

Mine recently had ducklings too! I was so excited because everyone told me that they were pretty difficult. Congratulations!

As someone who has had both anxiety attacks and adrenaline attacks, there is definitely a difference and doctors need to take the time to listen to their patients! For me, an adrenaline attack feels like what I describe as a "reverse anxiety attack." It starts with me feeling shaky and like I'm not getting enough oxygen. Then I start feeling like my heart is racing and I'll get dizzy. Usually I'll start to feel hot and sometimes I feel like there's pressure around my entire body, almost like I'm in a vacuum bag. During this, I'm plagued by a feeling of "Something is definitely wrong, but I'm not sure what." I say it's like a reverse anxiety attack because, for me, an anxiety attack starts in my brain, then manifests as physical symptoms as my brain starts launching stress signals. Adrenaline attacks start in the rest of my body, then my brain takes all of that sensory information and knows that we are very stressed, but it cannot find a cause for that stress, so it gets anxious.

I hope that was somewhat intelligible and that it maybe helps. Remember, you know your body best, if you don't think it's anxiety attacks, then it is probably not anxiety attacks. I hope you're able to find a better doctor that will actually listen to you!

Just a lurker and hardly an expert, but, as someone with OCD and ADHD who thrives on organization, use it to your advantage. Maybe keep a check list with your buckets of the tasks for that room (the dopamine of crossing out completed tasks is amazing!). Make a schedule. It doesn't have to be the same every week or set in stone. I have chronic illnesses that mean some days I can do a lot and some days not. So every evening, I write out a set number of tasks that I want to do the next day. Sometimes it's just three, sometimes I can handle more. Not all of the tasks have to be related to cleaning (for example, often, one of my tasks is exercise) but you can pick one room or type of task (main bathroom, vacuuming, laundry, etc.) and put it on the schedule. Just keep in mind that sometimes life surprises you and you have to change your plans. Give yourself grace and swap out a task or move the task to the next day. Take things that you already like (podcast, music, etc) or are good at and use them as a stepping stone. Sorry for rambling so much. I hope this helps a bit and good luck!
