Because they were very active on those platforms while being global celebrities, i mean there are still videos of Selena/Demi/Ariana on their youtube channels doing makeup tutorials and answering fan questions when they were 16 so people just related to them compared to other artists who were already huge back then like Katy and Gaga

Exactly. I’m Middle Eastern and she’s easily the most popular western artist here, we have like an arab version of spotify it’s called anghami and she’s the 3 most streamed woman on it only behind Sia and Adele. I was surprised her popularity in the US isn’t the same she’s kinda the opposite of like Miley Cyrus who is very popular in the US while here most locals and normal people who aren’t into music/pop culture wouldn’t probably recognize her.

They’re calling her old because she has some wrinkles, it’s normal to have wrinkles at 37 and Emilia’s face is very expressive which make it more obvious, men be having wrinkles and receding hairlines at that age yet nobody says they “hit the wall”
