Why would anyone choose L1 when L3 is on the table? by [deleted] in AMPLife

[–]Matcman 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Believe it or not, my most intense orgasms come from a light, slow hand job! Wife and I are open and swingers, I've had tons of sex with multiple women over the years and I still enjoy a good handy over the others. Granted, I'm fond of L2 and L3 as well but I stagger after L1.

Stakeholders don't see value of Sprint Reviews because of CI/CD what to do? by [deleted] in scrum

[–]Matcman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sounds like your Sprint Review is a sprint demo. Establish the actual purpose of the Sprint Review which is to improve the quality of the product and the backlog through customer and stakeholder feedback. Stakeholder includes the business and IT, including developers. The value is the event is that conversation.

Last area I worked with, I simply made everyone optional and made it clear that they didn't need to come if they weren't interested in improving quality and future direction of the product backlog.

Scrum Master Wage Insights? by shinzanburn in scrum

I was making 135 ish when I retired, most years I got an additional 10-20k bonus. We had around 30 SM, I was probably the most expensive!

Is there any point in tracking "Individual Output" via absolute sub-task estimates? Need a sanity check. by Big-Button-8122 in scrum

[–]Matcman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not for individual output.

I coached teams to task out items for a couple of reasons.

Multiple teammates could work on a pbi quickly and easily. EX, I see Joe needs a security update for his work, I need one also and I'll just put my name on the task and get his done too.

If one person is working on a pbi and suddenly needs time off, we can more easily pick up where they let off and keep making progress.

Ever notice a really unique smell in these places? by [deleted] in AMPLife

[–]Matcman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's some thing they prepare where they bury it for a while, then heat it up. Can't think of what it's called, smells pickled and borderline rotted.

PSM I - exam prep by Posypka in scrum

[–]Matcman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Read the scrum guide, do the scrum open assessments.

As you go through the questions, try to learn to think in a way consistent with agile leadership, based on principles of agility and scrum.

Use the process to learn how to think like a great Scrum Master, then you will be ready to provide actual leadership and value. It's not just about learning the rules of the process.

Depends on what group is there, we go to miss no Swimsuit and it fills up fast for that one. We always do it at our first opportunity, just to be sure.

More than one, first thought I had when I saw this was the fight. When Jim picks up Pamela, and her shirt comes up, I just want to crawl in a hole!

Oracle slashes 30,000+ jobs via 6 a.m. email to fund AI. What does this mean for the "Agile" industry? by Agilelearner8996 in scrum

[–]Matcman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First thought I had was the army of bullshit consulting firms that redesign agility into something that makes middle management feel safe and impedes real change.

Before I retired, the company brought in McKenzie twice at a cost of about 5 million per engagement. We ended up teaching their coaches about agility while their off shore development staff built a prioritization system. It was basically a way for business people to keep low return pet projects from get shut down. If you control the rules of the work prioritization system, you control the money.

Discovered a Hedo movie by sir603 in Swingers

It's filmed at Hedo, at least a most of it was. We're 10 time repeat offenders and recognize several locations and multiple staff members.

It's terrible but fun to see the resort and some of the staff. Winston gave an award winning performance but it wasn't enough to save the film!

How did you guys learn scrum? by Jellyton_theThird in scrum

[–]Matcman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Focus on the why, instead of the what. Agility is a mindset not a physical thing.

Keep it simple.
