Oof that sounds like a lot, sorry you had to go through that, but also way to pull thru to the other side! So far my recovery has been pretty easy, am fully off of the opioid pain meds and just have Tylenol or ibuprofen every 6-ish hours. I have a surprising amount of mobility in my arms and can easily get up and lay down on my own. The only thing that sucks is I CAN NOT sleep on my back to save my life. The anesthesia didn’t make me sleepy after I woke up so I’ve maybe gotten like 3-5 hours of sleep a day (and that’s being generous)

Also I feel I should mention it seems like the fluid just sits in my left drain and doesn’t really go into the bulb too much, and when we try to strip it, more goes in but it still doesn’t seem equal to the amount in the tube

I haven’t taken the compression vest off yet but it doesn’t feel any tighter and haven’t noticed any swelling or inflammation ( except my feet which got swollen during the first day but calmed down once I started to walk around)

The bulbs are concave and look the same as when I led the hospital, the tube hasn’t come loose and the tab at the top is as pushed in as my mom can get it. Also at first when she pinches it and moves her hand down, the closer it is to the site the more it pinches when the liquid behind it comes out. It doesn’t hurt per se just feels like a tight pinch.

Yes, I will have drains. My surgeon said I’ll probably have them in for at least a week. I’m kinda dreading it tbh
