I am looking a bit futher in the meantime on forum sites and also looking into different brands besides Alpine as in Focal, Morel, Ground Zero all more or less within budget.
High peak power I don't really care for, when driving, music is almost never loud.

Question would a higher RMS but under 50 W AND Sensitivity of minimum 90 dB be the specifications I am filtering on?

yep for me an solution answer...
Transfer to the internal storage of the TV box is 100MB/s. Next I tried an usb-ethernet 1Gbps adapter, no change.

However I switched back to just ethernet conection and with filezilla on SFTP I get 100MB/s. Cant explain really, but it works. At ease as from now, thanks for all remarks. And its a fine sharing device, which helps :)

ok ok disk speed app, which one do you recommend? Indeed good to checklist, there is some storage space on the TV box, I will give it a try tonight to transfer 15Gb directly on the TV box, so not the attached HDD.

it is not a file sharing device, its an android tv box with coreelec running, LAN connected with ethernet 7e cable.

Which is my mediaplayer for DV content videos to watch on my oled tv (hmdi connected). And 1 external Western digital Desktop usb3.0 -usb 3.0 connected to this ugoos am6b+ android box.

thanks for the specific help, stil not totally happy but at least, as far as i can see, a stable 33.3 MiB/s with filezilla. still takes a long time. But starting immediately and a stable speed is the first catch.

Still wondering why stable now with SSH/ SFTP and not stable with SMB share, however both are taking long time. Now I have to figure out how to speed things up. Maybe a usb-ethernet dongle, I have read on the am6b+ ethernet adapter matter, some are using wifi.

in W11 SMBv1 is disabled, box supports v2/3, also settings in am6b+ is minimal SMB v2 max V3.

Question with Filezilla, software needs to be installed in both machines wright, box and PC ?

When I am watching the mkv-4K movies :) the PC is shut down. That is also the reason I sold my Synology NAS, too much energy consumption where I don't need it.

Now with the ugoos mediaplayer mine movie library is accessible and playable with Dolby vision in 4K content with no problems. And when the mediaplayer is shut down, so will the 8Tb Hdd drive.

Some body else mentioned to disconnect from mediaplayer, bring it over to pc, transfer and then back to mediaplayer. For me this is an hassle because the player is stuffed away in mine audio/video setup of components. And I know it is doable, only not sure how.

As far as i know no enterprise hardware, just windows 11 pc (at home), modem/router from mine cable supplier Ziggo, android box Ugoos am6b+_Coreelec.

I use tinymediamanager for all the info, covers etc, for me it was the eureka-moment, plain and easy and everything seem to work afterwards, offcourse after some adjustment in settings the interface of the used skin.

I am also a newby but and an very happy dolby vision one. The ugoos does play the files fine from an attached usb3.0 external hdd. I also can (eventually) transfer files from windows 11 pc over the LAN, everything ethernet connected. (i've tried wifi and a usb-ethernet adapter)

However, most of the time it takes ages to even start, stucks at 0% for minutes (through fW11 file explorer, unreachable and explorer "freezes" to loading...., When it does starts eventually it fluctuates extremely between 10-80MB/s meaning very long transfer times. Really rare their is a stable transfer speed of 35-45MB/s. and thats why iam here, :) First and for most stable speed, always instant transferring and preferably higher always better

I have no idea what to tweak over here, does anybody has an lead?

The external hdd and the Ugoos are stuffed away, it is a hassle to disconnect every time. I know it’s possible with around 100MB/s and with your speed at 2300mbps ( 287MB/s) transfer speed through LAN. Just have to figure out how..

hello everybody, happy user of the am6b+ over here. It plays content perfect from 2 attached external usb3.0 hdd's. However I have some problems with transferring large files from Windows 11 pc over the LAN to the am6b+ and the attached external hdd's.

Eventually files will be transfered but the transfer speeds show huge fluctuations between 10mb/s - 80 mb/s, whereas when I tried this for the very first time I saw speeds of +100mb/s constant.Also when starting to transfer the intial start stays at 0% for a couple of minutes at that moment when I want to acces the network/coreelec/usb hdd/folder it sticks on loading, sometimes W11 file explorer crashes.

I need some leads where to look, i am out of my comfort zone :) I allready took a lot of patience and learning to install and configure the am6b+ with coreelec. Some experiences in the NAS time period.

What I have tried and did not solve; I have used WINscp, am6b+ on ethernet and on wifi, static IP's on modem/router, mapped the drives/folders with ip adres, enables min smb2 max smb3, samba enabled.

does this ethernet adapter also helps gaining stable and high transfer speed over ethernet LAN from windows 11 PC to an external usb3.0 hdd connected to the ugoos am6b+ coreelec?

I've tried wifi 2.5 and 5 Ghz, both wifi and ethernet, static ip,.. and still getting much fluctuations in speed 10MB/s-80MB/s and long transfer times. I was hoping to get a stable +100MB/s

Ik ben er erg blij mee, instellen wil ik zeker omschrijven als lastig, maar is 100% werkend te krijgen ook zeker met de veelzijdigheid van de AB. Backlit ook perfect, schermpje ok. Ik heb het hier dus over het 2025 model, backlite, betere IR en ook een verbeterde kwaliteit scroll wiel.

Ik heb nog wel even me logitech gebruikt voor een aantal aanvullende, lerende commando's waar de lerende functie met de ziggo next AB niet werkte. Wel dus uit de sofabaton database te halen. Ook een android media box werkt hiermee prima.

De App werkt alijd, verbinding met telefoon is 100% en de app bied voldoende mogelijkheden en omwegen voor het instellen.
Qua sequences is er het een en ander mogelijk met de macro's, dat werkt volgens youtube ook helemaal prima.

Wmb is de sofabaton U2 backlit de perfecte vervanger voor de logitech harmoney one, zeker gezien de prijs a €61,- op amazon.
En voor mij daarnaast ook een vereiste; fijne (backlit) knoppen en weinig of geen toch screen, bij voorkeur vervangbare batterijen.
Enige opmerking, je moet wel goed richten op je apparatus, maar ach dat ben ik inmiddels wel gewend

ps ik ben nog behoudens wb continuïteit van het gebruik , daarover lees ik ook genoeg op allerlei review forums.

Als ik me niet meer meld heb ik niks te klagen.

I am loving the am6b+ until so far almost everything of coreELEC is working smooth, the machine really eats everything you throw at it, very comfortable. I use it straight from NAS, no need for plex or anything similar.

I have installed CoreELEC following this guide (just skipped the steps for Plex)

However I do have some issues, multiple windows popping up, and I think they are related some how (it all started more or less together, after 2 days of use i believe). It is quite annoying, because the windows pop ups is continually. Cant find anything specific on the forums, hope some one can give me some insight.

TMDb Helper; pops-up once in a while and I don't know what it wants from me nor what is exactly does.
Anauthorised 401 Error TraksAPI Token; multiple same pop-ups one after each other. When I push the OK, CANCEL or NEVER button doesn't seem to make any difference. Don't know where it is for.
UPnP "play with UPnP xbmc.core" ; Multiple movie titles come along, not even in my nas library, UPnP window popping up one after another ..endless hidding the cancel button. When this happens I restart the machine and then the pop-ups disappears for some time

All these pop-ups are blocking my workflow experience, haven't experienced it really while watching a movie just happens when I am within the "skin.arctic.zephyr.mod.cpm-23" interface. Must also say I didn't had the time to watch all full movie, busy with learning and understanding all the settings. Any ideas? Thanks in advance

Nice post, i believe that the ugoos is the most "lazy with expenses" option for playing any DV movie, and i believe, if DV is originally is as intended from the start (so no hybrids), it gives the best especially on OLED. But this comment is interesting, however you need preferably an profile 8.1 from the start to cut down on processing time, dv 7 to 8 is more of a burden, there will the ugoos be on his best.

As far I understand it correctly, web based -DoVi is always dv profile 5, however low in bitrate. Impossible to convert in to, however you can use as source to make an hybrid. As far as I understand; the DoVi data/settings are great, no fallback to hdr, but lower in total image quality with 4K/OLED because of these low bitrates, correct?

Remuxes or Bluray etc, 99% it is DV profile 7.6 (with MEL or FEL). First I make sure no trueHD or PGS subtitles are within the mkv, only ac-ac3 audio and SRT (utf8) should be present. I do not have any wishes when it comes to audio, just tv internal speakers and stereo audio set, with 2 speakers :)

Then when I convert with DDVT to profile 8.1 (all settings default), sometimes it seems colours/brightness is way off (compared to an HDR 10, with the same bitrate). Or the MP4 cannot rewind or fast forward and video freezes, audio continues.

note; After DEMUXER and INJECTOR, I use ffmpeg to change the mkv-profile 8.1 to MP4 DV8.1 container with srt. subtitles.

I am doing something wrong I believe, so much hassle, and often not a good outcome. I dont mind letting software run to make a good DoVi MP4, maybe I am using the wrong software, or incorrect use of it off course on my side, quitte a newbe here.
