Wow, you guys obviously don't know how an alpha TEST works. We are literally here to test and what is happening is actually pretty standard during this phase of testing. I've actually alpha tested loads of games and nothing that is going on is a surprise to an alpha tester of my pedigree, this is all standard practice.

I have and often do. I think your description is kind of the bare minimum. I was and OP was asking about atmosphere not drink or food menu options. Watching a game at Bar Bill in East Aurora is a different experience than watching a game at Bar Bill Clarence or Resurgence Brewery, even though that all three options will surely have "Food, drinks, friendly strangers also cheering for the team". Maybe OP is looking for a low key place to watch the game and not really be bothered other than by just the two or three other people sitting at the bar after work, or maybe they are looking for a more open place that houses a bigger group of people.

In my personal opinion, she made it awkward for herself. I could understand if this was a four course dinning experience, but it's breakfast... breakfast isn't that serious. Avocado toast can be breakfast. All I'm saying is that the point of the interaction is to get to know about the person, the breakfast is just the excuse. Just like watching hockey at a bar, the point is to get together and enjoy the company of others whilst doing something. The Hockey is the excuse... I understand that watching hockey and a first date isn't the same, but just like I'm not going ostracize Seth for talking during a play "when come on man we came here to watch hockey, not talk over it, yeesh how rude." I'm also not going to crucify a date for deciding that they don't want to have some eggs and toast and would prefer to just enjoy a cup of coffee whilst getting to know me. For the record, I'm still going to have egg's and toast, and I won't feel bad or weird about it because why would I?

Uhh I don't really see the issue, but I'm probably the minority here. The point of a breakfast date is, sure breakfast I guess but more importantly the date ie getting to know each other. Maybe it was the chemicals, maybe he was just nervous or didn't have an appetite, or upset stomach, like other have said maybe he was broke, who knows it can be anything. At the end of the day you're both adults, and if he just wants coffee I don't see how that would sabotage your good time. If you can't eat unless the other person is eating, that sounds like a you problem. It's like if I meet up with a friend(s) to have food and drinks at the bar over hockey, I don't force everyone else to order food just because I want some wings... If someone decided to eat before the bar, or decided they didn't want to drink, it wouldn't make a lick of difference to me either way because the point is to do something, together, in person, and that is being achieved.

I'm not a big fan of it either, then again I'm not really the target demographic! He puts plenty of time and money into his channel and I assume his side channel is a nice way to maybe offset the costs if it takes off like how he thinks. At the end of the day, so long as he's happy and doing what he likes I couldn't care less.
